TAMPA, Fla. – (May 28, 2014) – The University Area Community Development Corporation (UACDC) and Caribbean American National Development Organization (CANDO) present the first annual Swing into Action! Golf Tournament fundraiser, Saturday, May 31, at Westchase Golf Club, located at 11620 Westchase Golf Drive in Tampa.

“Golfers participating in this tournament aren’t just spending a day on the green, they’re helping to provide programs and support for our neighbors in need,” said UACDC Director of Development, Ronnie Oliver. “This tournament brings two local organizations together to work toward a common goal of improving our community.”

Tee off is at 8 a.m. followed by a luncheon and raffle. All proceeds from the day support programs benefiting children and families of the economically and socially vulnerable University area, as well as help fund educational, workforce development and cultural programs of Tampa’s Caribbean community. Sponsors include Moffitt Cancer Center, NorthStar Bank and The Bank of Tampa.

To register to play or request a sponsorship packet for the Swing into Action! Golf Tournament, please visit www.uacdc.org. For more information, call 813-558-5212 or contact Ronnie Oliver at [email protected] or Gene Marshall at [email protected].
