4 Downs: Week 2 Observations

What an absolutely insane weekend of football, and week 2 gave us a constant reminder of why we loves this game so much. We had 3 Super Bowl contenders losing games and at least 3 legitimate candidates for the number 1 overall pick pulled out the win. With some much variance and overall craziness this past week finding 4 fantasy relevant observations couldn’t have been any easier. 1st Down: Colt Collapse Prior to the 2015 fantasy season you could find a small, but incredibly loud, faction of the talking heads on the internet that discussed the first round value that Andrew Luck presented as it pertains to fantasy football. I personally fought this assertion tooth and nail; not because I think Andrew Luck isn’t an elite talent, my issues came more from the fact that Quarterback is an incredibly deep position that can see a significant variance in results based on surrounding talent, scheme, coaching and several other factors. Ultimately, it is just not worth a first round gamble when the position is so flush with similar fantasy football talents.
