It all comes down to this… The San Francisco Giants control their own destiny as they look to take a Wildcard spot in the 2016 MLB Playoffs. However, the hated Los Angeles Dodgers stand in their way of the regular season finish-line.
The G-men are currently 1-game back of the New York Mets, and 1-game up on the St. Louis Cardinals. It’s not going to be easy to get in, as the Giants have to face off against Rich Hill and Clayton Kershaw tonight and tomorrow.
The good news is Hill has been having blister issues, and will likely be on a pitch count or shouldn’t be going deep into the game. Kershaw will also be the Dodgers game 1 starter in the playoffs, so I’m sure the Dodgers won’t let him get his pitch count high, cause they have the playoffs to think about.
The Giants have only announced that Madison Bumgarner is going tonight, and it’s “TBD” for Saturday and Sunday. Every player in a Giants uniform better be ready to go those days!
This is the last post on this site till Monday, so tune in to see if we’re talking about the Wildcard game, or already trying to figure out our offseason moves!
