Ravens on the Road Again

The NFL Schedule will be revealed tonight at 8PM on NFL Network. We already know the list of home and away opponents, but what we’re anxiously awaiting are the dates and times. What will the Ravens 2017 schedule look like?

Home Games: Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Houston, Indianapolis, Miami, Chicago, Detroit
Away Games: Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Oakland, Jacksonville, Green Bay, Minnesota

We already know that the Ravens will head across the pond (by plane) as guests of the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium in London. The balance remains unknown but here are a few interesting facts that might make a schedule guessing game somewhat fun:

• The Ravens have finished their regular season in Cincinnati 5 of the last 6 seasons. Bengals QB Andy Dalton has never opened a season at home. I think the league flips this trend in 2017 with the Ravens opening in Cincinnati and finishing at home against Marvin Lewis & Co.

• During Harbaugh era Ravens have opened @ home 6 of 9 games, all v. AFC.
• ALL openers have been v. AFC opponents.
• 7 of 9 home openers v. AFC North
• Road Facts:

o Since winning Super Bowl XLVII the Ravens are (10-22) on the road during the regular season.
o Travel Log: The Ravens frequent flyer miles since SB47 are:

♣ 2013 ~ 9,344 miles
♣ 2014 ~ 11,004 miles
♣ 2015 ~ 20,596 miles
♣ 2016 ~ 7,132 miles
♣ 2017 ~ 18,464 (per this year’s road cities)

• Ravens will host the Colts on Monday Night Football
• Thursday Night Football will come to Baltimore when the Ravens host the Lions
• Cris Collinsworth’s mancrush on Ben Roethlisberger will be in full bloom when the Steelers host the Ravens on Sunday Night Football.
• Ravens kickoff time will be 9:30 when they play the Jaguars in London.
