Boston Red Sox closing in on deal for Todd Frazier?

Just days after the Chicago White Sox shipped starter Jose Quintana across town to the Cubs, they might be close to making another deal. The Boston Red Sox recently showed interest in third baseman Todd Frazier and after designating Pablo Sandoval for assignment, it seems as if they are ready to make a move. They’ve struggled with consistency at the third base position hitting a combined .233/.287/.335 on the year. Frazier has struggled this season hitting only .210 but he does have 16 home runs for the White Sox this season. He might be the Red Sox best option as Brock Holt is still dealing with Vertigo issues. Top prospect Rafael Devers could be called up later in the season but Boston certainly doesn’t want to rush him to the big leagues. As for the return on Frazier?
