Ravens Fall Again, 24-16

The Baltimore Ravens fell to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 7, by a score of 24-16. RSR staff react to the loss here:

Todd Karpovich

— This could be the game that prompts a major shakeup. Marty Mornhinweg received a vote of confidence last week, but this performance could spell the end of his tenure in Baltimore.

— Even with Brandon Williams back in the lineup, the Ravens allowed 169 rushing yards. They are broken on both sides of the ball.

— Quarterback Joe Flacco catches a lot of heat, but most quarterbacks would struggle with that lineup on offense.

— Baltimore needs to think about rebuilding.

Ryan Jones

The Ravens are currently one of the five worst teams in football. The injuries are part of the reason why, but good, well-coached teams find ways to overcome injuries. All you need to do is look at the Vikings. They are missing their top quarterback, wide receiver, running back, and lost the right half of their offensive line during the game. The difference is the Vikings have a competent coaching staff to work with what they have and the Ravens don’t.

Steve Bisciotti can preach confidence and continuity all he wants, but if he truly believes the ball just isn’t bouncing his teams way right now that’s concerning. A casual football fan can recognize how bad this team currently is and how uninspired it looks as well.

Joe Polek

I don’t know why I do it to myself every week. This team is brutal to watch. I saw some people on Twitter saying that this offense “might” be as bad as 2000. This team is WAY worse than 2000. At least at 2000, we had a great running back. This team has a poor O-line, average QB, awful receivers, and terrible injuries. This is the worst offense in Ravens history. and it’s not going to get any better. You can kiss this season goodbye. But I’ll continue to do it to myself again on Thursday, and watch.

I guessed 16-9. Last week I guessed 23-20 Chicago in overtime…I’m getting better at this.

Yeah, the Ravens are bad.
