Thoughts:
- Just in case you thought Tyreek Hill might be slowing down he has completely blown up again the past two weeks with 17 catches for 332 yards and 4 TD. Coming into the season he was labeled as a boom or bust guy week to week but he’s proven otherwise. There is clearly still a lot of boom potential, but his floor is much higher this season and fantasy owners who took him in the third or fourth round are just basking in it right now.
- Another guy who seemed as if he was hitting a bit of a lull and has exploded again is JuJu Smith-Schuster. The Steelers wideout has 90 or more yards in his last three games, has scored twice in three games and has 21 catches the last two weeks. The Steelers run game seems to be slowing down a little which means more work for the receivers and it’s paying off for Smith-Schuster owners.
- The inconsistency of the Titans offense and in turn of Corey Davis can be maddening, because if you watch him play you can see there is Top 10 wideout upside. Over the last four weeks the floor seems to be getting a little higher, though it is still incredibly frustrating to see such a talented offensive weapon getting just four targets in a game.
- I don’t think there is any doubt that DJ Moore is the go to guy in Carolina as he has really started to mesh with Cam Newton these last few weeks. Moore has 15 catches the last two weeks and has four or more grabs in six of his last eight games. On the flip side I think the trust level with Devin Funchess just continues to plummet as he falls off the list this week.
- We caught a glimpse of what people were excited about with Josh Reynolds last week when he caught six passes for 80 yards and a TD in the Rams shootout with the Chiefs. The injury to Cooper Kupp was supposed to propel him and it finally did. Now we have to see if he can keep it going. The matchup is certainly right to keep the momentum as the Rams take on the Lions, and we know Darius Slay won’t be covering him so opportunities should be there.
- The Seattle Seahawks are clicking on offense and Russell Wilson and his ability to spread the ball around is a big part of that. While it is Tyler Lockett and Doug Baldwin doing most of the damage, David Moore is quietly stringing together a few really solid weeks. Moore has back to back weeks of catching four passes, and this past Sunday he topped 100 yards and caught his fifth TD pass of the season. Moore isn’t likely your first option, but there is upside especially with his penchant for TD.
