The San Francisco Giants went big with drafting Catcher, Joey Bart in 2018. This year the Giants shocked everyone with taking Catcher, Patrick Bailey. This sounds crazy to the average fan, but Farhan Zaidi is bringing a different mindset to the Giants. He wants all players to be able to play multiple positions. Which means one game, Bart could be behind the dish and Bailey at another position. Then the next day they could switch…

It’s going to be awesome to see these two premium catchers in the lineup at the same time, let’s just hope the Giants don’t suffer on defense with their secondary positions. It’s also noted that there’s a potential universal DH that could help the Giants in the future as well. Only time will tell, but either way the Giants are sitting pretty with the future catcher position!
