Mysterious Female Superhero Helps Beijing’s Poor
Female superhero “The Chinese Redbud Woman” appears in Beijing, assists the poor and needy

In May of 2011, a real-life superhero appeared in Hong Kong. Dressed in low-cut black tights and blue mask, she called herself “Zijing Woman” (紫荆侠) or “Chinese Redbud Woman.”
She handed out food and cash to some Hong Kong residents. The mysterious masked female vigilante received a great deal of media attention in Hong Kong.
It seems that the Chinese Redbud Woman has struck again. Either that, or there’s a copy-cat do-gooder out there — which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
On December 24, a real-life superhero appeared in Beijing, wearing exactly the same outfit as Hong Kong’s Chinese Redbud Woman of Hong Kong.
