Chadil Deffy married his girlfriend of ten years, Sarinya Kamsook, as she lay in coffin at her funeral

The couple had planned to get married at some point in the future, but Deffy wanted to focus on his studies before they married. He continued to put off marriage for a decade.

When a sudden accident took the life of 29-year-old Kamsook, according to TAN Network news, the would-be groom became overwhelmed with grief and regret. In an act of love that tugs at the heartstrings, while also sending chills up the spine, the funeral was also a wedding.

The event took place on January 4th in Surin, a city in northern Thailand. During the Buddhist ceremony at the funeral parlor, Deffy slipped a wedding ring on her finger. After the ceremony, he was able to bid farewell to Sarinya as his wife.

The accident was indeed a tragic one. Her injuries were not actually life-threatening, but Kamsook was forced to wait six hours in an overcrowded ICU. It was in that critical time period that she passed away.

Bankok Post reports that Chadil’s Facebook album was labelled “Corpse Bride” and it had been “liked” and shared by more than 100,000 users.
