Witness Statement: have just stood outside the front of my house in Haslington Cheshire and saw a bright green object speeding horizontally across the clear night sky at a very fast rate. There was no sound at all and I could see beyond its trajectory and there was a plane coming in the opposite direction going much slower what seemed to be less than an eighth of the speed of the object. The green object was similar in shape to an ice cream cornet an has a very slight white vapour trail behind it. I called my fiancee but the thing had gone on probably about four second. Surely another aircraft would have spotted this. I am very intrigued to know what this was as I have never ever witnessed anything like this before in my life and would also like know if anyone else saw it.
