Was an Alien Skull Found in a Mexican Cemetery?
Have you heard the news?
A Daily Mail headline reads: “[I]ncredible ‘alien’ skull discovered in a Mexican cemetery.”
How exciting! A mainstream media outlet presenting scientific evidence of extraterrestrial presence on our humble planet Earth?
This changes everything!
Well, except that the article goes on to say precisely nothing about ET’s, describing only “the astonishing skull of a person suffering from a cranial disfiguration.”
‘Cranial deformation in Mesoamerican cultures was used to differentiate one social group from another and for ritual purposes,’ said archaeologist Cristina Garcia Moreno, director of the research project.
While cradle-boarding is well-known to be a common practice among primitive cultures, why say ‘aliens’ in the title if there is to be no mention of them in the article? Maybe the hum-drum, head-binding explanation does little to drive readership, and the article needed a touch of sensationalism to garner notice?
Lloyd Pye might offer a different perspective.
Lloyd Pye is a researcher and author in the field of Alternative Knowledge. As defined on his site, “Alternative Knowledge is information rooted in mainstream science, but in areas normally kept from public discussion because they cast doubt on the currently accepted paradigms and dogmas of the mainstream.”
In this in-depth interview on Beyond Belief with George Noory, presented by GaiamTV, Pye labels beings like the one pictured above as “coneheads.” He says, “the coneheads… had brains that were on average between 2500 and 3000 cubic centimeters… You and I have 1400 [cubic cm] on average…
“It’s such a simple answer: binding a head doesn’t double the brain capacity, and yet somehow the mainstream gets away with that very facile explanation.”
The primary thrust of the interview is Pye’s involvement in researching the 900-year old Starchild Skull. This artifact was discovered in 1930, in a mine tunnel about 100 miles south of Chihuahua, Mexico — not too far, in fact, from the site of this most recent discovery.
Pye presents significant evidence that this is not the skull of any terrestrial human. The ultra-fine fibers that constitute the abnormally durable bone, it’s surprisingly light weight, and it’s shape, which is provably not cradle-boarded, represent the main highlights.
Another anomaly regarding brain size occurred during an x-ray of the skull. Judging by the size of the skull, an analyst guessed that the brain capacity should be about 1200 cubic centimeters. The results of the x-ray determined that the capacity was actually 1600 cubic centimeters — fully one-third larger than expected.
Reconstruction by renowned forensic artist Bill Munns
The other big part of the story is the difficulty Pye and his team have faced in finding scientists willing to risk their reputation to work on the project. He tells a story of when he was first introduced to the skull, and he was asked how long he thought it would take to get some answers. He said, “Well, as fantastic as it looks, as fantastic as it might be, I would assume mainstream science will be all over this. We’ll have an answer somewhere within six months…”
And now, 14 years later, they have just recently been able to analyze the DNA enough to know that it is hundreds of times different than any being known on Earth. Part of this is waiting for the technology to develop, but it is also due to the fact that not many scientists have the cajones to risk the censure of their peers to work on something so controversial.
If you remember that the DNA of a dog is only 6% different from a human, and realize that this skull is proving to be 300% – 500% different, perhaps you will begin to understand the profundity of this discovery.
I agree with George Noory when he says, “I don’t understand why mainstream science doesn’t jump all over this.”
Lloyd Pye responds, saying,
“There is huge resistance out there… to the reality of aliens, because it’s going to change our world. The same way the world was changed 500 years ago when the Earth was moved from the center of the universe… to where it actually is. Now what we’re in the process of doing… [is] moving humans away from the biological center of the universe into becoming just somebody else out there.”
And that is a very true statement. However, I personally am thrilled by the opportunity to be “just somebody else out there” if that is the real, live truth. I hope that we Earth humans can continue to open our minds to the potential reality of extraterrestrials, and perhaps even welcome the massive shift in worldview that would bring about.
