Walmart Twinkies are here and they are early

Get your Walmart Twinkies now. They are available today on store shelves and they arrived three days early. According to Newsmax on July 12, 2013, even more Hostess snacks will be available in the coming weeks.

Rejoice, your yellow, spongy, cream-filled Walmart Twinkies are ready just in time for the weekend. The initial batch of store even got the treats a day earlier than they themselves had promised. And don’t forget that the new Twinkies will come with an extended 45-day shelf life. Even better, by the end of next week they will be stocking favorites fried Fruit Pies and Mini Muffins. In August you will be able to get your Zingers, Suzy Qs, Ho Hos, Coffee Cakes, and Orange Cupcakes fix as well.“About 1,600 Walmart stores have the cakes on the shelves as of Friday, and about 3,000 (out of 4,000) stores should have them by Sunday morning.”

Will Walmart Twinkies end up on eBay and create another price run up to a “Hostess bubble” of sorts? Who knows at this point, but anything is possible with all of the pent up demand out there. It will be interesting to see how this “exclusive” effects Walmart earnings this quarter.
