My ROOM is filled with things NO ONE CAN EXPLAIN!

I woke up the other morning and there was a circular spot on the wall beside my bed.

I lay there looking at it, and for the life of me I couldn’t figure out what it was – or how it got there. Finally I realized that it was a spot of sunlight coming from a tiny hole in the window shade of my room.  Tiny flecks of dust drifted in space above my bed, illuminated momentarily by the shaft of light – that I realized was streaming over my head from the window…but which I COULD NOT SEE, except when the dust motes drifted into and out of it.

There is no machine on Earth that can detect light while in transit.  “PHOTONS” are defined absurdly. Scientists don’t know what THE HELL LIGHT IS…!!

“photon”: a massless particle of energy. 

Isn’t that totally ABSURD?  Those words are not meant to fit together in a sentence.

“Particle” doesn’t fit with “massless”; and “massless” doesn’t fit with “particle”.  ALL PARTICLES have MASS. That’s not only a law of physics, it’s plain old common sense!

“massless particle OF ENERGY” ! – WHAT?  You can’t stick the word “energy” onto “massless particle” it was absurd at the start, now, with “energy” added on, it’s just RIDICULOUS!  

and this is what PHYSICS works with??  This will never do.  We can’t get to the stars, and ZOOM at faster than light speed with such an arcane definition of light.

Somebody, somehow, is going to have to figure out how to observe PHOTONS while in transit, and then maybe we’ll start making some real progress around this neck of the galaxy.

Just then, my alarm clock rang.  I reached up clumsily, snapped out of my reverie, and knocked the damn thing off the end table.

GRAVITY!  and I realized: “Whoah, my ROOM is filled with things NO ONE CAN EXPLAIN!
