My Next Spiritual Mission

Oh boy…

So I woke from a dream this morning. A very clear and concise dream, quite different than most dreams. At the moment I opened my eyes I knew what my next spiritual mission is supposed to be. Very much along the lines of: “…your next mission, should you choose to take it…” type of thing.

I’ve had a few people roll their eyes are or at least quirk an eyebrow at me over this whole “waiting for a sign” thing I’ve been doing. For over 3 years now, I’ve felt ready for my next project. I wanted to reach out into the world and make a difference for the better– but in a way where my own understanding of things and natural talents can be utilized. Things happened that delayed my figuring it out, but then once more I was on my quest!

I’ve always had this– connection– to the Divine that is highly personal. I not only talk to the Universal Spirit, I expect it to answer every now and again. Oh, I get that my life is MY project, don’t get me wrong. But if I pray for guidance, it will come to me eventually. Asking for my next mission was a natural part of the process for me. The fact it took years to get an answer was frustrating (I wrote several posts about that) but my instinct was to wait until I had an obvious sign or dream with specifics in it.

The one I had today freaked me out. I mean, I can see where the pieces have been coming together over the last 4 years to mesh perfectly with this particular mission. And now that its been pointed out to me, I can see where I have exactly the unique qualifications to do what I’m being asked. It may be something I launch and it takes on a life of its own and I can then pull back again in 3, 7, 10 years. I don’t know that I would want this to be the last big project I take on in my life, but I can see the need for it now.

However-!

Its not what I expected and its not without some genuine risk. I’m not even sure how to start! Its one of those obvious needs that it seems like no one is fulfilling and Divine is poking me. Just like last time I can’t help thinking to myself that the Universe seems to think me more highly qualified than I do in my most ego-centric moments.

The good news is that my worries of group politics and such are pretty much going to be moot. This will be mostly one-on-one type stuff to start, and not really a “group” project per se.

The bad news is that there are genuine obstacles that I don’t know I will be able to overcome. I suppose if this is truly my mission, circumstances should fall into place once I make my willingness to answer the call obvious. Because without a couple of key factors that have to come from outside myself– there’s no way its going to happen.

But for the record, oh Divinity– I hear you and okay I’ll do it. You need me to run into a few choice people first for it to be possible though. Could you get on that pretty please? Thanks!
