A very much ignored and unreported aspect of the UFO phenomenon, USO’s account for perhaps some of the most intriguing reports of recent times, and ones that it would seem is becoming more and more frequent.

One of these recent reports occurred on June 14th, 1992. I have always thought that this was possibly one of the most interesting accounts of UFO sightings in general, not just regarding the USO phenomenon. Bearing in mind that more than 75% of the earth is covered with water and is for the most part unexplored, this certainly lends itself nicely to the more outlandish theories regarding USO’s, one of which hypothesise that the fabled lost city of Atlantis is really an underwater UFO base or at least represents an extraterrestrial civilization. Especially considering it was originally thought to be in the Mediterranean as it’s central to Asia Minor, Rome and Athens and as such would represent an ideal vantage point from which to observe the meandering evolution of humans and more importantly their progressive exploration of the world.

It seems that legitimate USO accounts are just as numerous as their airborne equivalents (if not one in the same) and are also captured, plotted, tracked and linked on (sometimes multiple) sonar displays.
