The west coast of North America is not the only coast line to see the deaths of marine life on a Biblical scale as the phenomenon appears to be expanding to The Gulf Of Mexico with reports of massive fish kills in the last week….
FREEPORT, Texas – Thousands of dead fish washed ashore at Freeport’s Bryan Beach.
The dead fish stretched from the mouth of the Brazos River to several hundred yards to the east.
The city’s assistant manager made the discovery during a routine check Wednesday afternoon.
Right now the city and seasoned fishermen suspect red tide, a natural phenomenon that produces a high level of algae that can lower oxygen levels and add toxins to the water.
Some locals are saying it’s the worst they have ever seen, thousands upon thousands of dead fish, in some parts as far as the eye can see…..
It comes only days after at least three tonnes of dead fish washed ashore, not too far away on Mexican beaches with the total expected to rise in the coming days due to red tide algae.
Thousands of fish at Matamorus, Tamaulipas, Mexico have been buried on the beaches but the amount just keeps on rising by the thousands as the red tide bloom shows no signs of diminishing.
As NOAA reports of a record-breaking algae bloom expanding across the North Pacific reaching as far north as the Aleutian Islands in Alaska and as far south as southern California and Mexico, NOAA have also issued concerns of harmful algal blooms and hypoxia in the Gulf of Mexico as yet another report of dead marine life on a massive scale is reported.
