Dream of Pirate Ship & Red Brick Tombs
Yet another interesting dream regarding all the changes in my life…
I was in a town that looked pretty 1930s/40s to me in architecture. I was with my family of origin in the dream, although there didn’t seem to be a lot of interaction. Some pirate ship came down out of the sky and landed and I was kidnapped. As the pirate ship left with me in it, I could see they left a fake clown-looking ship for people as a decoy to make them think I was in IT?
Anyways, the pirate ship was damaged scraping a building as it left to fly off into the sky, and even though we were in the air, the ship filled with water. I was on the deck and the water filled around me, and I knew I was trapped– so I just sighed and sat down in the water, leaving my head and shoulders only out of it. I settled in and tried to get comfy in the water. As the pirate ship flew, taking me with it, I watched the scenery go by (we were only maybe 30 feet off the ground) we passed a cemetery with those big tombs… forget the name… They were all built out of bright, deep red brick, sunk halfway into the sides of hills, and I remarked upon how beautiful they were.
Eventually, the ship sat down and I escaped and went home, only to find an east Indian guy reading tiles about my future. I didn’t know what they said, and the guy wouldn’t tell me, but I was merely curious, not anxious.
Its easy to see the symbolism of my life being hijacked or pirated and then my feeling overwhelmed by emotions, but just accepting them, not fighting them. Being in the air means a ‘higher’ perspective, and that my intellect is helping me deal with emotions. Also seeing the tombs, or symbols of death, in bright, life-affirming red, was all about the death of one way of life and the beginning of another. The dude with the fortune telling tiles was all about the mystery of the future and my accepting not really knowing too much except that I’ll have a home at least.
