My Reaction On Election Night

(Before It's News)

Its election night, and Trump is ahead 244 to 215 or something, and it appears he just may win.

Its crazy… and strange… and shocking– and yet not.

Already across the world, stock markets have started to fall and the Dow (off hours) is down 700 points as of midnight Eastern Standard Time. Even more than the Brexit thing, a Trump presidency seems to be setting off shockwaves around the globe. Trump is like nothing seen in the United States before and no one knows what to think.

The hang up in knowing if he won or not are mainly 4 states that tend to go Blue/Dems (Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania) 3 of them appear to be going to Trump, including the 2 biggest electoral ones, and so they are very closely counting those votes right now. Florida and Ohio both went to Trump. Arizona, Maine, and New Hampshire– and even Alaska are still too close to call.

I should be hearing within 2 hours at most… it really, really looks like Trump will get it. I mean, maybe there's a chance that Clinton will pull a close one, but it looks like Trump has 40 electoral points coming, they're just waiting until they get almost 100% of the vote in.

I have mixed feelings…

For one, J.M. Greer called it, like 7 months ago or something! Everyone thought he was crazy. Hell, even I thought he might be way off base, but he also said Trump would get the nomination last year when the Republicans had over 9 potentials duking it out. So, hat tip to him for reading the 'room,' so to speak, of the country.

For another, I'm PISSED at the Democratic party. They knew early on that Bernie Sanders would energize the young vote and for sure WIN against Trump, but they supported the corrupt Hilary anyway. There was all sorts of bullshit behind the scenes crap and just look what it got them! Look what it got ALL of us! Shame on them!!!  They threw all the working class people under the bus for years by supporting illegal immigration, outsourcing of jobs, and insourcing of jobs (what's happening here in Seattle area where they IMPORT foreigners for tech jobs in the U.S. for lower wages, once more driving down wages for everyone in the region) for the profit of the already rich. Not to mention giving in to the private insurance companies for the so-called “Affordable Care Act” that is anything but for many, many people. THAT IS WHY THEY LOST!

Oh– to add insult to pain, it appears BOTH houses of Congress are also going to go to Republicans, which means a trifecta of Conservative 'values', including the swing vote on the Supreme Court!

It was all avoidable, but they were so damned sure that the same old bullshit that worked before would work this time, and NO! They were wrong and good job assholes!

I very well understand the anger that led to Trump's victory. I get it. But I am really upset that so many things that finally went the right way like marriage equality and the repeal of marijuana prohibition are now probably going to be jeopardized! Anyone who isn't a straight white male can't help but be a little nervous right now, amirite?

Finally, we may have just elected a proto-fascist to the White House. I don't think he'll be as bad as Hitler. But–! He's like Mussolini, as I've already stated, and while that guy may not have been nearly so murderous, his time as leader wasn't exactly fun, and it marked the start of a hard swing to the extreme right in other countries.

The only consolation I have is that had Clinton been elected, it appears that a truly gruesome Hitler type guy may have been next. Clinton's continuation of policies that are failures economically and militarily would have totally blown up before the next election. Even if an establishment candidate like her had made it (and still has a slim chance as of my writing these words) it could not be “business as usual” for much longer.

As it is now, maybe some changes can be made to avoid the direction our nation is going in from being inevitable. Whoever is in office will deal with a shit storm of problems, and the country splitting into 2 sides as if in anticipation of a Second Civil War is just the start of it. There is every chance of assassination attempts regardless of who wins– and can you imagine an extremist like PENCE becoming the POTUS!? OMG!!

This is just… wow… I don't know what else to say just yet. I was at least semi-prepared for this, and I still find I'm shocked. I know a lot of people who are not prepared at all– like most of the East and West Coasters and urban dwellers didn't see this coming. What a crazy trip!

And if you're feeling angry and want to commiserate with me or bitch me out, its totally cool. I don't have much left in me to argue, just shake my head at the elites in control like, “WTF guys? How could you be so dense as to NOT see this coming?!?”
