I haven’t read any of the posts on here and I don’t care to. But I would like to forward my own theory about the movie “2001: A Space Odyssey,” and that is that Stanley Kubrick encoded the number 666 into the movie in several different ways.

I should point out that Stanley Kubrick was reported to have died 666 days before the first day of the year 2001. And also, in the year 2001, the World Trade Center was destroyed in five events–two airplane crashes and three building collapses–that have an average time of day of 11:06 AM, which is 666 minutes into the day. (The times of day that are used are taken from the Washington Post newspaper.)

Was Staley Kubrick trying to say that the year 2001 would be the year of “666″? If so, how did he know? And why did he die on the day that he did?

Houston, you have a problem.

In case thou hasn’t heard by now, the late(?) movie director Stanley Kubrick filled his movie “2001: A Space Odyssey”

with the number 666. The U.S. government agency NASA from the beginning praised this movie, and they have not retracted

their endorsement of it.

To summarize the occurrences of 666 in the movie:

1) The “monoliths” in the movie appear for 666 seconds. The time between the first appearance and final disappearance of

each of the four “monoliths’,” the four times added together, is 666 seconds.

2) The number of camera shots starting from “The Dawn of Man” (the first shot after the opening credits) to “The End”

(the last shot of the closing credits) is 666.

3) The running time of the movie is 666 in two different ways. The running time of the film in seconds, from the

beginning of the “Overture” to the end of the “Exit Music” (total exhibition time), is equal to the number of moon

orbits contained in 666 years (8903). The running time of the film in seconds, from the beginning of the MGM lion logo

to the fade-out of the story, is equal to the number of moon phases contained in 666 years (8237). Everything before and

after the movie proper, that is, the “Overture,” end credits, and “Exit Music” times, adds up to 666 seconds.

4) For an “added bonus,” the director Stanley Kubrick was reported to have died 666 days before the year 2001, on March

7, 1999.

So now we know where both Hollywood and the U.S. government stand: firmly behind “666.” And that explains a lot.

And that is one of the evidences for why I do not support the U.S. government in any thing, war, peace, or otherwise.

Geller also claimed that “there will be more information coming in” and urged readers to e-mail him with more findingsof this kind. Geller also wrote: “I would encourage everyone to send out this message to all your family, f riends orbusiness acquaintances and try to put this in the right perspective.”

 Let me try to put this in the right perspective.

Accumulating more findings like these coincidences between the number 11 and other things should be easy, since there are countless items that can be made to relate in some fashion to the number 11 (or 12, 13, or just about any other number or word). E.g. the country code for Pakistan is 92 (9+2=11), a Boeing 757 holds about 11,000 gallons of fuel and the wingspan is 155 feet (1+5+5=11), Nostradamus and Billy Graham have 11 letters, any word with 8 letters just put ‘the’ in front of it; any word with 9 letters, just put ‘ww’ or any two-letter word in front of it, any word with 10letters, just put ‘a’ in front of it or add an s to the end of it, etc. It is especially easy to do this since there is no specific guide before we begin our hunt for amazing facts as to what will and what won’t count as being relevant. We have a nearly boundless array of items that could count as hits. Unfortunately for Geller and others who are impressed by these hits, there is also an even larger array of items that could count as misses. Geller doesn’t see them because he isn’t looking for them.

If we start hunting for items that seem relevant but don’t fit the pattern, we will soon see that there is nothingspecial about Geller’s list or the number 11. Only by focusing on anything that we can fit to our belief and ignoring everything that doesn’t fit (confirmation bias) can we make these coincidences seem meaningful.
