Google is trying to impose its Luciferian agenda on its users. This is a serious problem since they control access to much discourse and information. This problem will likely get worse because their sponsors can’t allow people to learn the truth. We will need to demand that Google is regulated and migrate to another search engine in the meantime.

The morally presumptuous reformers of liberal culture’s civic religion–Diversity and Multiculturalism–are eager to limit free speech and impose thought control. This is a movement that gained traction with the campus “Free Speech Movement” of the 1960s, based at Berkeley, but it was mainly a ruse, a case of “Free speech for me and not for thee.”

Now that the children of the hippies are in the driver’s seat at the head of the digital industries emanating outward like spokes on a wheel from the San Francisco Bay Area, the ’60s imperative for freedom of expression has taken a distant second to the moral obligation to suppress “hate speech,” a coda for any speech that challenges the orthodoxy of the Church of Diversity and Multiculturalism.

One such challenger is James Damore, who has been fired by Google, a unit of Alphabet Inc., for “perpetuating gender stereotypes.” [Gender stereotypes only apply when they are reversed. -Makow] Damore is the author of a “contentious memo…that has enraged advocates of greater diversity in the technology industry. The memo has also served as a rallying cry for conservatives and the alt-right who view Google — and Silicon Valley — as a bastion of groupthink where people with different opinions are shamed into silence.

His 10-page memo, titled ‘Google’s Ideological Echo Chamber,’ argued that ‘personality differences’ between men and women — like a woman having a lower tolerance for stress — help explain why there were fewer women in engineering and leadership roles at the company. He said efforts by the company to reach equal representation of women in technology and leadership were ‘unfair, divisive, and bad for business.’ The memo was originally posted on an internal mailing list and was shared widely inside the company and throughout Silicon Valley. It struck a nerve and was harshly criticized.

After his firing, Mr. Damore, who was a senior software engineer in Google’s search division, said he had not expected this type of reaction. ‘As far as I know, I have a legal right to express my concerns about the terms and conditions of my working environment and to bring up potentially illegal behavior, which is what my document does,’ he said. Mr. Damore said he would probably take legal action against the company.

Like many new hires at Google, Mr. Damore boasted an impressive academic background. A competitive player of chess and computer strategy video games, he studied molecular and cellular biology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, according to an online résumé. He conducted research in computational biology at Harvard, Princeton and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology before joining a Ph.D. program at Harvard.

“In a footnote for his memo, Mr. Damore said he considered himself a ‘classical liberal,’ an ideology associated with advocacy of…libertarianism….Few Google employees came out publicly in defense of him, but some surreptitiously showed their support by leaking screenshots from internal Google posts of employees saying they planned to create blacklists of people who did not support the company’s diversity efforts…Despite what the public response seems to have been, I’ve gotten many personal messages from fellow Googlers expressing their gratitude for bringing up those very important issues which they agree with but would never have the courage to say or defend because of our shaming culture and the possibility of getting fired,’ Mr. Damore wrote in an addendum to his original memo. ‘This needs to change.” (NY Times, August 9, 2017, p. B1).

”…because of our shaming culture and the possibility of getting fired.” This is the epitaph written on the gravestone of creativity and independence. In the unleashing of the totalitarian Left in the Sixties, we were sold on the idea that by letting it happen we were being faithful to Thoreau and the First Amendment.

Tyrants, however, once in power, don’t respect Constitutional rights, and Thoreau’s unrestrained individualism is for them an ornament on a shelf to which lip service is paid. The shaming consists in conferring upon the genuine heirs of Thoreau epithets such as “homophobic, sexist, racist, bigot, hater.” After you’re shamed, you lose your livelihood (Damore was quickly fired after his cri-de-coeur was publicized). This is “freedom” in America. The Cryptocracy need not formally abridge the Bill of Rights when their opponents can be made to lose their reputations and careers. These tactics constitute sufficient enforcement of the pieties of Diversity and Multiculturalism to stifle dissent and maintain the momentum of the revolution.

Which brings us to the dangerous fact that Google, as the Internet search engine of choice, is a monopoly arbiter of content. It can prioritize web pages that are in line with sacred Multiculturalism and Diversity, and subordinate those that are antithetical to it.

Damore’s writing raised another issue which the New York Times and most of the rest of the mainstream media have regarded as too hot to handle. According to him, many of Google’s “programs, mentoring and classes are only for people with a certain gender or race.” In other words “pale males” are discriminated against by Google. But wait–isn’t discrimination against a race or a gender a morally reprehensible hate crime? Ah, but you are forgetting, dear reader, the lesson of George Orwell’s Animal Farm: some are more equal than others.
