The Forest, UFOs and Albert Rosales too

Reading a June 8, 2018 TLS [Times Literary Supplement] review of a book by Anne Barton, The Shakespearean Forest [Cambridge University Press] about the mysterious and extraordinary stories that have been written with a woodland context reminded me of several UFO sightings or encounters that involved forests or wooded areas: The Sonny Desvergers (Florida) case, the 1966 Ann Arbor/Dexter “swamp gas” sighting and the concomitant Hillsdale sighting (in a watery copse), the (alleged) Travis Walton abduction, and Dr Dee’s favorite account, the 1970 Imjärvi, Finland humanoid sighting:

Why are UFOs fond of water and trees (or wooded areas)?

And as I trek through another Albert S. Rosales Humanoid Encounters book, the 1930-1949 volume, I’m finding more odd encounters (in the woods and out) that UFO buffs should read, as the stories precede the 1947 “modern UFO era” before all the flying saucer hubbub that is often cited as the cause of the UFO fantasy.

(I’m also surprised that Mr. Rosales hasn’t ballyhooed his scrumptious series, where one will find many ineluctable tales from “credible” sources usually.)

I’ll be providing some of the tales/reports that Mr. Rosales has accumulated. They are key, I think, to the UFO phenomenon, in the mental arena.
