Episode 13: The Reluctant Prepper Spouse

Heres a topic that many of us have had to deal with at some point…The Reluctant Spouse! Now this could be a boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, etc. It covers all the bases, most of us have gotten into prepping and had to deal with the fact that our loved one….isnt as ‘excited’ about it as we are.

So Here are a few things I learned

• Do what you have to, to prepare you and your family
• Do it for the right reasons
• Learn to Speak your spouses language
• Relate Prepping to your spouses concerns
• Be Patient and understanding
• And more

One thing I didn’t go into is why it is so important to address your spouses concerns and speak her language…once you get her/him on board initially you can build on that, dont think that once you break that first barrier that the dam will break and they will be on the same level as you and have their ‘epiphany’ as you have.  BE PATIENT!
