I Hate A Thief

Here I was last night, kicking around the web, trying to find some sort of inspiration for an article.  The news is depressing and only getting worse.  I didn’t want to write about that. If you don’t know where to look for the REAL news by now, I don’t know what to tell you.  I surfed awhile hoping for some sort of inspiration.  Till I got bored and gave up. 

This was when I figured I’d check out some Pinterest “action”.  Imagine my total surprise to see “THIS“

Initially I thought that someone had “pinned” my article “One year food storage…etc”   which is fine and happens now and again.  Then I decided to click on the link and found this….

Now look at THIS ORIGINAL ARTICLE written in 2011.  Titled “One Year Supply Food Storage Under $300″

Notice anything?  See my name anywhere on that first link?? Nope, me either.  Did I mention I hate a thief???   I hate a stupid one even worse.  Why, if you are going to plagiarize someones work, would you not at least have the intelligence to change the title up a little bit?   Or to NOT steal an article that has received more traffic than any other single post on this entire site? Even better question…. if you are going to steal someones work, wouldn’t you at least read the entire original article?  Including comments??  I found it hilarious that the comments left on the THIEF’S BLOG  were pretty much the same ones left on the original article.  Including the ones which say “This is impossible… blah blah blah….”   Now, if I were to have the balls to steal someones work, I think I would at least take some of the concerns of the replies into consideration and include some answers to those questions.  So I will admit I laughed right out loud when I saw the hack writer was being drug thru the coals because he was stupid.

I left a comment last night and again this morning.  Apparently someone must have checked their site and moderated my comments. In other words, they deleted them.  Then I guess the thief figured out that they had been caught and as far as I can tell have pulled down the article.  Did I get an email?  Or an acknowledgement? Oh no… none of those.  The P.O.S. had the NERVE to come here and leave a couple of suggestions this morning about MY original post. What kind of an idiot goes and steals someones work and then comes back and posts up comments about it two weeks later?

It seems he’s taken down the link now as far as I can tell.  I’ve got the whole thing saved and will try to share it here if the above link doesn’t work.  You can’t just make this crap up.

I would have hoped that in the Prepper Community we would somehow have got beyond all the crap the rest of the world pulls.  Of course, I live in a fantasy world.  I know that people are not always what they seem.  (Shoot, I know that first hand.. right John Milandred/ Pioneer Living???)   I have some sort of a warped idea about us being better persons because of what we try to do in this community. I’d like to believe that most of us are good and honest folks. That we would help out a fellow prepper along the way.  But iff someone will steal something as intangible as your very words then they will have no problem at all stealing everything you have in a SHTF situation.
