Prep Updates 03/13/13

Two weeks ago I wrote my take on The Drone Playbook, basically how UAVs would be incorporated into our society so that we would learn to accept them.  Over time our freedoms would be continuously eroded and replaced with constant surveillance, for our safety of course.  I wrote:

But wait, it’s all for your safety and after all, if you aren’t doing anything wrong you have nothing to worry about! Besides all of these UAV operator positions stimulate the economy as they are great paying government jobs with benefits. It’s a win-win really.

“This is an incredibly exciting time for an industry developing technology that will benefit society, as well as the economy,” said Michael Toscano, president and CEO of the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International, a trade group that has existed for more than 40 years but has come into the public eye only recently.  Drone expansion “means the creation of quality, high-paying American jobs,” Mr. Toscano continued.

PJ:  I really think that all of the precautions that we take online and reference our personal information merely keep honest people honest.  By that I mean if the right people want your stuff, and the right people could be a group of 15 year old kids, they WILL get it and do what they want with it.

PJ:  Common sense is quite uncommon.  The teacher heard a clicking noise and called the police.  Good thing the water pistol was removed from the hands of the offender, how many clothes were saved that day from getting wet?

PJ:  So he is attempting to demonstrate how easy it is to purchase a gun.  Yes because a veteran with no criminal history who passes a background check and purchases a gun legally from a retail establishment obviously is a huge problem that needs to be addressed.

PJ:  I’m still skeptical.  I’m all for owning a bit of junk silver and a roll of Eagles, but for me that’s about it.  Whatever happened to $1000 Silver in 2011, and then it was $1000 Silver in 2012 and so on.  If Silver goes to $5000 an ounce because our economy has imploded, we will have far greater problems to worry about than the devaluing of our Fiat currency.  It’s not like you will be strolling down to the market to buy groceries with your precious metals.
