Flawed Manchin-Toomey Compromise on Backround Checks DEFEATED

Manasquan, NJ --(Ammoland.com)- Less the 10 minutes ago the horribly flawed and ineffective for its stated intent Manchin-Toomey Compromise Amendment on Universal Background Checks went down to defeat by a vote of 54 to 46.
Thats more then a “few votes” short that has been touted since debate began yesterday over what was needed to achieve cloture.
The amount of terrible language, contradictions, penalties for misuse of records that would have had to been pursued and enforced by Attorney General Eric “Fast and Furious” Holder, in short, the whole thing should never have even gotten as far as it did today, it was that flawed and ineffective.
For those that didn’t watch the live coverage on CSPAN, I highly recommend doing so, although I don’t know if you will laugh at the absurdity, shake your head at the stupidity of our elected officials or shake your fist in anger at the outright lies told with straight faces and phony emotion by those who supported it.
