Prep Updates 04/15/13

I want to send a shout out (and thanks) to Todd from Pepperwebsite.com!  If you have followed Prepper-Resources.com for a while you should be proud that Todd has listed us as his website of the month for April 2013!  If you click on the link you’ll see that I took the time to answer all of the questions that Todd listed out for me.  Hopefully that will everyone a little deeper insight into the thought process behind this site and where I want to take it.  Thanks to all of you who continue to visit daily and contribute your thoughts, and to those who have contributed guest articles.  Given the reach of Prepperwebsite.com this really is a huge honor and I’m very happy to be part of it.

PJ:  I know someone who swears his money is safe because the FDIC says so.  What happened in Cyprus could never happen here, Social Security will never go away and there will always be prosperity (there is nothing wrong with our debt situation).  The guy is dillusional but he surely is entitled to his opinion.

PJ:  Criminals need to read stories like these, of course criminals in NYC have nothing to fear.

CNN, MSNBC hype false al-Qaida claims on ‘assault rifles’
PJ:  A stretch wouldn’t you think?  When recent efforts failed to mobilize support for gun control they had to dig deeper into their bag of tricks.

The IRS May Be Reading Your Emails Right Now
PJ:  Nothing is private anymore.  Social media, emails, text messages…consider all of it open source material which could be accessed by those with the means to do so at any time.  Should it be that way?  Of course not but as time goes on our freedoms continually are eroded, all for our collective safety of course.

All three mainstream news networks are little more than shameless parrots for White House propaganda
PJ:  What say you?  Try to find someone with an original opinion on a controversial topic, an opinion which doesn’t parrot what a talking head (Maddow, Beck, Hannity, Cooper et al) in the MSM put out.  Are there really any original thoughts these days?

‘UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANT’ USED ON…FOX NEWS?
PJ:  Many are quick to condemn CNN, NBC and other major news networks but readily accept anything that Fox puts out as undeniable fact.  While Fox is seemingly less “liberal” than the other news networks, keep in mind they still have an agenda and still must be scrutinized along with all of the other MSM outlets.

Kerry says U.S. ready to “reach out” to North Korea 
PJ:  Big day today for NK, keep an eye on the news for a test launch, and for whatever response is deemed necessary by the US.
