I always make sure to have ParaCord 550 with me. It’s tough, durable, versatile and can save your life in the right circumstances. Here are 2 simple ways to always have some with you.

How many times have you been in a situation and wished you had some Paracord? For me, it was when I bartered for a canoe then had to find a way to strap it to my van’s roof.

These are just regular situations. Imagine how bad it’d be if it was life or death and you really needed some cordage!

I have 2 ways to make sure that I have paracord with me at all times.

Shoelaces:

I have replaced the shoelaces on my boots and my Sketchers Alley Cats with Black paracord. Unlike shoelaces it’s strong and won’t break on me and in a pinch I have about 3 feet of paracord on each foot (on the Sketchers Alley Cats, the boots have about 6 feet each.

after I’ve melted the ends of the paracord to keep it from unraveling, I like to add about an inch of shrink tubing to each end to act as aglets

Paracord Bracelets:

I always have a paracord bracelet. I don’t normally wear paracord bracelets, but I do clip one to the handle of my backpack and laptop case and I keep one hanging from the rear view mirror of each of my cars.

This is just 2 simple ways I use to ensure that I always have some Paracord 550 within reach. I imagine that you could dream up multiple ways that you could keep some paracord close at hand too!
