Preppers Do Not Panic

Getting lost in unfamiliar territory can be a very stressful situation, especially for a person that finds themselves without any type of survival gear or training. However, for true survivalists, a situation of this sort presents an opportunity to employ the skill sets they have spent hours perfecting. We hear occasional stories about SHTF scenarios and what the result of those events were. In some of these stories the outcome is complete disaster, with those caught in the crosshairs succumbing to the environment and perishing. In others we are informed of the actions taken during the situation which kept most, if not all, of the people involved alive and able to survive. The difference in most of these situations is that preppers do not panic.

Just because preppers do not panic doesn’t mean that they do not experience stressful events during the course of the survival situation. It simply means they are better equipped to handle certain situations regardless of what is thrown at them. Here are some helpful hints that could be of use to anyone finding themselves lost in the wilderness.

“Don’t panic. Panic is more dangerous than almost anything else, because it interferes with the operation of your single best, most useful and versatile survival tool: your mind. The moment you realize that you are lost, before you do anything else, stop. Take a deep breath and stay calm.”

Preppers do not panic and neither should you. This can be easier said than done; however by avoiding the temptation to panic, you will keep your wits about you and be better able to think through the ordeal and take the right actions.
