Why Don’t You Include Non-Ballistic Helmets?

Jcharles Tower asks: “I was curious why no one seems to include light weight non ballistic helmets in their bug out gear…seems like a ” no brainier ” what do you guys think?”

Comment #1: its not going to be a natural disaster oh yes a disaster is coming but it is by no means Natural. Just naturally speaking of course.

Comment #2: If people didn’t need it to conquer the planet, I don’t need it to survive.

Comment #3: As a firefighter/paramedic I can see several reasons why a basic construction type helmet would be very helpful. While it may not be needed once you have bugged out but whatever caused you to bug out in the first place could have several overhead dangers. I know in Texas, the possibility if tornados is certainly a concern and that is fraught with dangers. But then again, I’m always the one that’s OVER prepared! Lol

Comment #4: I carry one with mine. But then again it’s a rock/ water rescue helmet. Not every bug out bag is geared towards taking on military forces people….. That’s what makes your own so unique.

Comment #5: No need to snot off at the guy – he was just making a suggestion.  I think if the proverbial poo hits the fan, there will inevitably be one thing or another we wish we’d have stashed away. I know I’m not really prepared at all – doesn’t seem like there’s ever enough money to buy extra this or that.

Comment #6:  I have level 4 vest and mich helmet in mine if you guys don’t !! You obviously haven’t watched the freaking news lately and your not prepared for the present threat on humanity there for your prepping is a joke!!
