Amazing Survival Stories

Currently holding the record as the world’s largest snake, the green anaconda can reach lengths up to twenty five feet! Back in 2002, on a ranch near the city of Sao Paulo, two young boys were playing near a creek. Little did that know that under the creek’s murky water, lurked a giant, sixteen foot anaconda waiting for something to prey on. Just as one of the young boys got close enough, the snake pounced. He immediately wrapped around the young boy, then clamped his massive jaw. His friend stood paralyzed with fear for moments before running off to find his friend’s grandfather on the ranch. As the grandfather rapidly approached the situation, the anaconda was already beginning to swallow his grandson head first, but the courageous old man leaped on to the scene and began to retalitate against the voracious reptile.

Swimming in rivers in a very popular and fun activity for humans and also for giant ferocious alligators. In Florida, a seventeen year old boy was attacked by a massive twelve foot long tiger. The young man was aware that alligators lurked in the river and was told to use caution, but decided to just go ahead and have a nice afternoon swim regardless. Minutes into the seemingly peaceful swim, Andrew Hudson was savagely bit in the head by the large reptile. After the first attack, the alligator then immediately and ferociously drug him under the water to finish him. After quite a bit of violent thrashing, Andrew managed to escape from the beast. Andrew was pretty torn up, and had much blood gushing from his head as he weakly made it to the shore.  Luckily for him, a park ranger was nearby that helped the young boy rush to hospital.

Within the water, often lurk many dangerous animals that are looking to feed. The inability to see what is in the water has caused the death of many people, and some pretty amazing stories of survival.
