Shoes

The deer or any other targeted animal is sure to walk around the same trail that you have been through and can easily detect human scents from your shoes. Use rubber shoes for warm weather, as the rubber does not emit any other body odor. Use soaps that don’t have any scents while washing them. You can also spray them with a covering scent while trekking through the forests and store them in the same way as your clothing.

Body Scents

You have to take a thorough shower before you leave for your hunting expedition. Take care to shower with a non-scented soap or shampoos. There are also many deodorants that are scent free. Avoid all types of colognes, sprays or perfumes.

Your Equipment

All the equipment that you carry to the woods must be scent free. The bags that you use, the gun in your hand, the tree stand must not have your human scent on them. You can remove traces of human scent on these types of equipment by spraying them with a neutralizer or a covering spray. If they are washable, you can wash them and store them in the same way as your clothing.

It is a little tricky to cheat some animals, but with the above efforts, you can get some additional advantages while tracking and trapping wild game.
