"Bambi Bagged" Survival: I Sat My ARSE 3 hours in a Tree Stand for this FINE DINNER!!!

I would gather apples from trees that had fell to the ground and set up game tirigger motion cameras to see thier movement. I would wash my hunting cloths in NO-SCENT (smokers do not help) detergent.. I would danlge Buck scent off my shoe strings off my boots.. I would rattle Antlers.. I did this every year and always filed my deer tags.
The trick is.. NO SMELL AND NO PEOPLE! That means this WIfe refrains from Hairpsray and perfume the WEEKS before!
Mussle loading season.. GIVE IT UP.. The deer are to freaked out.. They are FREAKED.. You’ll never get one!
So, LATER… You sneak in downwind and abide by thes few rules and you’re sure to bag a Bambi or a Buck.
Sit patiently in your stand (Shivvering) so quiet Squirrels jump on you. Tree Bark Camo works best.. Hide your bow with paint schemes of leaves etc as well.. And..
BLAMMO!
Recently, several nights I have tried to hunt but it was too hot. Deer move Sunrise and sunset. Set your stand up a year early as they become accustome to it.. Sneak in and out “WITHOUT SMELL” (Very Important). and then use your Game Cam to monitor their movement. simply be invisible there..
Here is the result! Not the Buck I had my eye on, but it certainly fills a freezer!
2 or 3 days aged in a cool garage draining (out back when cool) and it is it Tenderloin with hot suace for me! Here is the pics..

Nice job! Those that don’t hunt or at least get out in the woods are missing so much. It takes a lot of work and preparation to ever get close enough to take a Whitetail, still hunting, way more so with a Bow! Job well done Hon!
What do we do weht that is outlawed?
That is why we have to make sure it is never outlawed.
I hunted with a Bow for years and never got one. The one time a buck came within range, it was just before dark and I had been in the stand 5 hours. As you know, you lose strength up there motionless for so long. When I went to draw back the bow that I had shot a thousand times, the arrow was shaking and went CLACKETY CLACK against the frame. The buck was spooked and when I shot, he jumped right over the arrow and away he went. Still a great day in the woods though!
I know what ya mean anonymous.. I can shoot my compound fine, but after a few hours in a tree it becomes a different story.
Get yourself a few cams and track the activity. Sneak in ONLY about once a week and pile a bunch of apples around the hot spot. Apples from the ground as not to piss off any farmers. A permission slip is a must as well.
Use a tree stand a good 10ft or above, enter from downwind in clean No Scent cloths..
Always shower with no scent Shampoo and soap first.
Buy some Buck lure and soak a string to dangle from your boot.
Climb and wait.. Be there min 1 hour before sun up.
I nicked the colon and screwed up the back strap.. Darn cold fingers!

Someone posted somewhere about string the deer up eh the head as opposed to the feet.. With a gunshot.. The deer does not bleed out.. With a bow., the hemorrhage and it really does not matter… They are bled out already…
