Are You Ready for Riots?

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Editor’s Note: With America’s middle class being destroyed on a daily basis, and low wage workers seeing reduced hours and experiencing more difficulty with making ends meet, it is only a matter of time before people snap. We may think we live in a stable society, but as Daniel Ameduri of Future Money Trends points out below, no country is immune to civil unrest when the right conditions are met. And if you’ve been paying attention, it’s not that much of a stretch of the imagination to suggest the signs of discontent are starting to appear from sea to shining sea. As the situation continues to degrade in the United States we, too, will experience rioting and civil unrest, something the U.S. government has been actively preparing for. In the very near future, riots won’t just be some far-off event you watch on television from the comfort of your couch… They’ll be front and center, right outside your front door.

This past weekend a country with one of the highest living standards in the world saw rioting in the streets!

According to Credit Suisse, Singapore ranks 8th in the world in terms of personal wealth. Since the year 2000, Singaporeans’ wealth has more than doubled.

It is clear that this is a very prosperous city state that is the gem of Asia. I know that when I have looked for offshore gold storage in the past, Singapore comes up as one of the top areas along with Hong Kong, Zuric, Perth, and Toronto.

However, on Sunday a riot was sparked in Singapore, the first one in more than 40 years. Long story short, an Indian national was struck by a bus and killed, the surrounding neighborhood went out by the hundreds to set fire to at least 6 police cars and the ambulance that responded to the young man who died.

Now I don’t know every detail of race relations in Singapore, but I do know from what I have read that about 25% of the workers are transient workers, the city state is made up of immigrants, of which about 8% are Indian.

The reason I bring this up is because sometimes just like an individual who snaps, so can a large group. ZeroHedge.com in their coverage of the incident titled their blog post, “Riots Break Out In Singapore; Think Your Country Is Immune?

This is definitely something to think about living in the United States. Many people think that the U.S. is safe from mass riots across the country due to economic civil unrest, but I don’t think anyone should rule out widespread rioting in the streets.

America is like a pressure cooker as my friend Doug Casey has often noted. We have 49% of the population not paying taxes, 23% of the population not only not paying taxes, but being paid to live here in the U.S. No matter what you believe or how much money you have, our health care system is screwed up. Our welfare and warfare state is robbing the middle class, and the entitlement ponzi-schemes are robbing our young of opportunity.

A lot of these thoughts and more are weighing on Americans, will they snap one day and take their grievances to the street?

I think there is a good chance during this depression, with nearly 48 million people on government food stamps, long term unemployment near records, and real unemployment closer to 20%, anger and frustration is building up.

A recent poll by ABC News and the Washington Post revealed that the dissatisfaction with the U.S. government was at 80%.

There are a lot of legitimate grievances that can add a lot of pressure to people who are barely making it or who are literally sliding out of the middle class and into poverty.

I for one am very tired and extremely annoyed over all the fraud and waste I see on a daily basis. From the U.S. getting involved in everyones’ business around the world, to me paying taxes only to see millions of people cash out on MY money so they can live a lazy lifestyle. A welfare mom in New York for instance revealed that she collects just over $38,000 a year, this is more than the starting salary of a teacher in the state. Although the actual welfare queen state is Hawaii, where a person with two children can receive up to $60,590 per year in benefits.

Then we have the government workers…Not even going to go there.

My point in all of this is prudence, be prepared, especially now as the depression drags on destroying what was left of America’s middle class.

OPEN SEASON for taking down CORRUPT governments…tied to the banksters, rockefellers, rothchillds….ILLUMINATI

What sucks is that its 2 late to think the word *if* belongs in this discussion… but *when* :

While many Americans don’t want to be near that kind of event, or condone it… They also know that they have gotten to a place where their votes, and voices are no longer effective. Push them too far… and the consequences are inevitable….and there will always be a faction of society who is all to happy to help tear it apart for America & Americans , they will act out their collective anger, for they have nothing to lose … and how close are they as a collective to that kind of caving?

I guess the only thing to do is deal with your own contingency plans , even if you aren’t expecting to be near an eruption, it can still effect you/us/them/all***not happy thoughts for a morning cup of coffee or a green tea …

      • BinaryRecoil

 I’m one of the “all to happy to help tear it apart”, because I don’t see anything salvageable any longer. The Educational System is solely for building a good slave class,
Medical System has been co-opted to outlaw anything that doesn’t bring more money into the Pharmaceutical/ Chemical Industry,
The Transportation System is Locked (legally) into a place where cars are not allowed to advance in efficiency or even have competition by creating your own model,
The Executive/Legislative/Judicial Branches have more fraud running through them than water molecules in a tree,
The Media is still so corrupt that to find someone telling the absolute Truth based on 100% proof is more rare than finding a $100 bill floating down the street,
Federal Agencies have proven to go so far as to work together to keep the Truth of situations from the citizens,
Despite the fact that the definition of a Secret Society is a group of people who “Pay their dues” to be given access to more information, the Military members will look you in the face and say there’s no such thing even though they legally qualify as one,
The banking system and stock market have become the centers of fraud to such a level that no society in the history of mankind can boast to have had a more corrupt trade system,
Our currency is absolutely obsolete and they won’t acknowledge it even though scientists can manipulate sub-atomic particles and we’re hovering at a week away from unlimited resources at any given moment,
Classified information from before world war 2 is still classified while the legal definition of War is taking place against the citizens by the government & the closest legal definition of Martial Law that exists as defined by the Supreme Court has been in place for a While- but no one has noticed because a person they don’t trust to shine their shoes (much less be their representatives/senators/governors/President) hasn’t gotten in front of a camera and told them.

Why not tear it all apart? It has become inversely parallel to the progression of civilization to allow this to continue in any aspect. I eagerly await a riot situation.

        • Lafanda

          It’s happy thoughts when being intoxicated *** let’s Riot *** .
You have very valid points
Be careful when you’r tearing it apart , don’t hurt yourself .
          Best Wishes

Almost everything in Singapore is being suppressed and controlled; so it is not surprising that observers have little or no idea about the diversity of Singapore life.

I am a local Singaporean who has been jobless for quite some time. My close friend has been jobless for so many years. People I know are either unemployed or underemployed. The government and media continue to spin partial truths or disinformation to project positive image to the entire world.

There is no doubt that common men (people on the street) like me, remain suffering with insanely high inflation and influx of foreigners and immigrants. We do not feel safe while in public transportation or on street. I do not know how long I remain jobless, but many of us feel disgusted by foreigners and immigrants who rob our jobs and peace in my country.

History has shown without a middle class buffer zone, the poor rise up. The elites know this well. They are preparing the military and police to protect the financial centers when unrest happens. In their twisted minds, they believe they will be protected. It is really going to suck to be them.

Besides all the internet tough guy comments here, the solution is simple: Either bug in or bug out.

Don’t go and get yourself involved in some stupid shoving match with the herd of scared sheep. There is no way it can do good and a million ways for it to go very, very bad.

You’re not going to affect change by acting like a moron and destroying private property. Let those scared little people lash out and stay the hell out of the kill zone.

    • WCS

Dude, I bust mw ass 5-6 days a week, working 10 Hr’s a day, every day and I make less than 60,000 a year for a family of 4 and they get up to $60,590 per year in benefits for a family of 3 in Hawaii for doing nothing? REALLY! Time to move and get laid off. This really makes me sick. WTF!

    • WCS

This is why I hope for the fall of this government. When it all goes to hell, there will be no more hand outs and no more lazy people living off the back of my hard work. They will go hungry and die and I say good, lit those worthless eaters starve if there to lazy to go out and make there way in this world. And those that would turn to crime, I got something for them to that will end there suffering. Don’t get me wrong, I do not mind helping those in TRUE NEED but this is crazy and they (75% or better) are last and think that I owe them something. I cant wait to see them dropping like flies.

      • FarmerX

Hey Buddy, got any work I can do? =). The worst part now is finding a job that doesnt enslave you with insane hours for very little pay comparatively. The worst part is that the only “free market” has become almost underground , because small business has been nearly regulated out of existence.

But more to the point. We rioted here once several years ago. 5 of us. We tore down signs and damaged vehicles all over town. Just wanton destruction. Sherrif showed up a few days later. “Uh, we followed you boys trail of destruction and we know yah did it. Mr Johnson wants an apology and a new set of tires for his fiat. Fix what yah broke and we wont press any charges”. Yep, rioting in a farming community is pretty pointless….. Sure glad I dont live in a city.

    • Disc Golfer

You forgot that 96 percent of the “income gains” in the past five years (since 2008), have gone to the top one percent! Of course the masses are upset–food stamps or not. They’re broke, hungryu and frustrated that the dow above 16,000 doesn’t translate into better lives for THEM! Why should the average CEO of a major company make 380 times more than their average worker? Why indeed.

We need to interview the bottom 50 or 60 percent and see how life REALLY is for them. It sucks. I’m a positive thinking professional, but people are fed up and it’s about time that we recognize our “entitlement country” for what it is: A NECESSARY response to years of outsourcing jobs overseas. Can’t work if there are no jobs, can you? Also, over half of food stamp recipients HAVE jobs, but corporations are too damn cheap to pay a living wage. In fact, in NO State in America, can a minimum wage job pay the rent! Now how can folks live if they HAVE a job but can’t pay rent.

And while we’re at it (from a Nutritionist), how are folks to eat those “5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables when that equals alone over $160 to $200 per month? Grow you own garden? Tell that to the feds who are tearing down gardens because they don’t meet “zoning requirements.” Yeah, the riots will come and…soon. Capitalism IS the problem and greed (and our military industrial complex), whose budgets are absolutely out of sight, is front and center as a crucial causal link.
