Long Term Shelter
What do you think of this long term shelter?
http://joeoleary1.blogspot.com/2013/11/building-long-term-shelter-part-2.html
- Wherever possible I like the idea of a living grass roof (for long term) as a minimum. I’d be worried for the fire hazard.
- Id live there.
- Built one similar to this.Only covered it with 2/3 feet of leaves. Was going to sleep in it this wnter. However my neighborhood deer ate most of the leaves after they tore it apart.
- While I like the camo effect I would put more work into a long term shelter, preferably underground for the most part.
- I love it.
- I would try big dead tree bark for roof. But I see no big trees. Other wise I love it.
- If the foliage on the cover is fake and one piece it could last quite a while but, there would need to be a better means of ventilation for the smoke.
- From Holland. Nice, good for a very long time..
- Heh,heh, lived in a few of these, used tarp for doors though.
- Totally love it. Maybe flammable but you can make a fire outside and just bring the coals inside, in a little pit.
