BundeZe – Helping you Keep it Together

Miles Smith recently sent me some very cool little gear ties that he invented called BundeZe. These small elastic ties have a built in ball stopper, adjustable slide lock, and pull tab that makes them incredibly versatile and super easy to use. They are perfect for keeping small items and gear organized.

Finger Friendly

BundeZe measure approximately 6 inches in length and weigh 0.21 oz (6g) each. The solid plastic ball stopper, adjustable slide lock, and pull tab are what set BundeZe apart from any old short length of shock cord. The round ball stopper makes it easy to quickly wrap the BundeZe around some gear and snap it in place. The pull tab makes the process of grabbing the elastic cord much more finger friendly, especially in cold conditions and wearing gloves (thank you). And the adjustable slide lock helps to keep a BundeZe in place when you don’t want to be worrying about where it is or having to find it.

Securing Trekking Poles

Here’s a simple example of the BundeZe being put to use to secure my two trekking poles. In this example I am holding the stopper ball with my thumb while I wrap the BundeZe around my poles. I wrapped them two times and snap the end of the BundeZe over the top of the ball stopper locking it in place. It’s such a ridiculously simple idea – wish I had thought of it.

If you want to leave a BundeZe in place so that it’s there when you need it, simply pass the item through the loop of elastic cord and use the adjustable slide lock to tighten it to the item. That way it’s always there when you need it and still has all the functionality of the lose version.

BundeZe come in packs of four and in several colors (orange, gray, blue). I can see them being perfect for all sorts of hiking and backpacking applications as well as around the house or office.
