Watch: This Is Why Russia Can’t Attack America: New Weapon Has “Near-Instantaneous Lethality”
Over the last several weeks we have witnessed a complete collapse of the Russian economy, stock markets and monetary system. It is a result of Western sanctions for Russia’s refusal to retreat from its newly annexed territory of Crimea. And though Russia has pounded its chest with military protrusions into Western airspace, including the west coast of the United States, there is a distinct reason for why Vladimir Putin can’t pull the trigger on any sort of military engagement, at least not yet.
In his Strategic Relocation documentary World Affairs analyst Joel Skousen suggested that, while a World War III scenario is an event that is likely to take place in the foreseeable future, Russia and China are hesitant about any sort of military conflict with the United States because of the West’s top secret, advanced military technologies.
One such technology that’s not so secret any more but was recently released to the public is the LaWS (Laser Weapon System). It’s a system so advanced that the military says it can lock on to and engage targets with near-instantaneous lethality.
“Laser weapons are powerful, affordable and will play a vital role in the future of naval combat operations,” Rear Adm. Matthew L. Klunder, chief of naval research, said in a statement Wednesday. “We ran this particular weapon, a prototype, through some extremely tough paces, and it locked on and destroyed the targets we designated with near-instantaneous lethality.” (Yahoo)
As you’ll see in the video below, the system is capable of tracking moving targets, including aircraft, and literally blowing them out of the sky at the speed of light.
Granted, both Russia and China are familiar with this particular technology, the U.S. has spent trillions of dollars on military research over the last two decades. What’s most curious is that not only do the Russians and Chinese not know what all this money was spent on, but neither do 99.999% of Americans, as evidenced by a Congressional hearing held on September 10th, 2001.
Yes, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld gave that statement just one day before the terrorist attacks of 2001, and according to some researchers the accounting records for that $2.3 trillion were destroyed when the Pentagon was hit (officially, of course, Rumsfeld misspoke and the missing money was the result of an accounting error of some sort).
We can be fairly certain that Putin is well aware of these massive military investments, and as Joel Skousen suggested, the Russians (and Chinese) have no idea what kind of technology we may have cooked up with that kind of money.
The Laser Weapon Systems mentioned above are just the tip of the iceberg and the video was obviously released as a propaganda tool in response to Russia’s own propaganda that included airspace incursions and threats of nuclear war. But the United States, despite its shortcomings, still has the most advanced military systems in the world.
In fact, just a couple of weeks ago, after the Russians had poked and prodded the west with veiled threats of war, residents in London and New York reported hearing loud booms and/or rumblings in the middle of the night. No official story for this has been released, but some researchers suggest the mysterious sounds were the work of the top secret supersonic Aurora project, which is capable of traveling at over six times the speed of sound. The fact that people on both sides of the U.S. military’s Atlantic testing areas heard the sounds suggests that it could have been Aurora, and that it was yet another show of military force to warn Russia that, despite their economic malaise, they have no possibility of winning a military engagement.
The Russians and the Chinese probably know this and this is why both countries are spending more money on military technology than anything else. That and they are hacking U.S. military networks and military industrial complex servers in an effort to steal as much information as they can to fast track their own military programs.
Overall, the U.S. is hemorrhaging economic espionage to the tune of $250 billion.

War is coming to the world. Russia will not stand idly by as their entire way of life is destroyed through economic means. But they are not ready for a widespread conflagration right now.
Joel Skousen has suggested that by around 2020 – 2023 they will be.
It is then that we will see what Uncle Sam has been up twenty floors below the surface at remote military installations like Area 51.

Amazing how wonderful we (and other nations on Earth) are at building things to destroy stuff… we can only imagine what we might be accomplishing if all that $$$ was put into HUMANITY and CREATIVITY…. Although I understand your concerns, it is the very fact that we have achieved this amount of military technology to the point that we are still the freest of all nations, just think of what the world would look like if we did not invest in these technologies to protect our selves and the Nation against the worlds aggressors. The world as a whole is under and ruled mainly by despots who would, if they had the brain power to do so, would have already also spend this kind of money to destroys us if they thought they’d get away with it, Yeah think about that for a moment, and suddenly your concerns, although good in nature, don’t seem to warrant any priorities at this point in time or our history. As an after thought, I suspect if these types of technologies were to be applied to and for the good of civilizations, the world over, think of the good we, as a free people can bring to the world in the near future, if applied justly.

This is a great weapon but if you have to have someone with a joy stick to take control of the weapon and aim it and push a button to fire it then it is as useless as our president… what or how would they react under intense pressure ? if the ship they are on was getting attacked from multiple sources do you really think the guy with the joystick is really going to be focused on what his job is especially if the ship is getting hit with bullets or worse , I think not.. Russia has some sophisticated weapons that we have not seen , Putin does not strike me as a president that is going to show his hand to early in the card game…
Lasers are only good for ‘line of sight’ skirmishes. Can’t shoot over the curvature of the Earth.

I don’t know what sort of scary weapons the US may be hiding out at Area 51 (probably nothing) but the LWS isn’t going to scare anyone.
It is a short range, underpowered system that is primarily suited for attacking slow, small, vulnerable targets like small boats or drones.
Atmospheric scattering and water vapor keeps lasers from being effective in the atmosphere. Also, the power requirements for doing real damage are way higher than these systems can muster.

Could it be that US used this weapon on the Mylasian plane that vanished in thin air? It does appear that the plane just vaporized.
What the video shows it is kind of a Mickey Mouse toy. The laser cannot work on missiles bodies nor on the aircrafts, even less navy. As one can see the target is a petty little structure. It will take a long, long way to become a reliable weapon. Not to mention that on a foggy day, a rusted AK47 is far superior to it.
Point nr 2: Russians started developing the laser weapons three decades before Americans even knew about. Russians do not brag about their military gadgets as once they are in the open, everybody would replicate them.

What a load of crap, Russia has not collapsed financially and with China as their comrades now they aren’t likely to follow the USA into financial ruin. The fact the USA has taken their demo-laser system out of the closet now, was done to try and scare off a Russian attack. If Russia was to release 50% of it’s nuclear weapons on the USA their laser would be of very little use. Russia would not likely use it’s bombers to deliver a initial strike, because their nuclear subs are closer to targets giving the USA too little time to sight in their lasers at low, fast missals. If planet-X don’t get you all first, there will be little left to fight with after it passes by. Even the USA has the resulting maps expected to show what remains after this break up due to plate shifts on our planet. This particular laser (your photo) was only recently tested and it was a prototype bolted to a dock for targeting system testing… On one boat and one drone uav. Only.
The navy is fixin’ t bolt it to a ship for sea trials. It is not in service yt, and certainly not in numbers sufficiant to smoke 1700 or so icbms incomming from Vlad, not to mention the cruise missiles or anything that China could launch.

I don’t think this would work at night because a radar signiture would not be accurate enough to keep the beam on the same part of the object that is being shoot down.

If you want to cut back on the war budget, let’s just send Obama in first to every country that he desires and leader to leader can duke it out.
