Major U.S. City ‘Disappears’ 7,000 Citizens In Secret Facility
More than 7,000 people may have been “disappeared,” held and interrogated in a secret and unconstitutional detention facility in the heart of America’s third-largest city.
The Guardian newspaper is alleging that Chicago police operated a secret holding facility for more than 10 years where 7,185 were held without trial or access to lawyers.
“That place was and is scary,” attorney David Gaeger said of Homan Square – the Chicago Police Department’s secret detention facility in an old warehouse. “It’s a scary place. There’s nothing about it that resembles a police station. It comes from a Bond movie or something.”
Gaeger isn’t alone in his description of Holman.
“The reality is, no one knows where that person is at Homan Square,” Craig Futterman, a professor at the University of Chicago Law School professor. “They’re disappeared at that point.”

Disappeared is a term that refers to a tactic used by secret police under dictators such as Russia’s Joseph Stalin and Chile’s Augusto Pinochet. A person who was “disappeared” was taken away by police or government thugs, never to be seen again.
Chicago Police were able to do an end-run around the courts and the Constitution by simply taking suspects they arrested to Homan Square, a police evidence warehouse, instead of booking them into jail, The Guardian is alleging. That violated the law, the Constitution and the police department’s own rules, the newspaper alleged.
“It’s hard to believe that 7,185 arrests is an accurate number of arrestees at Homan Square,” Futterman said. Documents released because of a Guardian lawsuit show that that many people were detained at Homan Square between August 2004 and June 2015. The facility has been compared to one of the black sites where the CIA allegedly holds suspected terrorists.
Attorneys allege they have no way to know if their clients are there or not.
“Try finding a phone number for Homan to see if anyone’s there,” Gaeger said. “You can’t, ever. If you’re laboring under the assumption that your client’s at Homan, there really isn’t much you can do as a lawyer. You’re shut out. It’s guarded like a military installation.”
Prisoners who are taken to Homan Square are not allowed to make phone calls. They are alone with the police and completely at the mercy of interrogators.
The police use a simple bureaucratic trick to hide people at Homan Square: They don’t book suspects.
Key Obama Aide Connected to Homan Square
Police greatly increased the use of Homan Square after Rahm Emanuel, President Obama’s former chief of staff; took over as Chicago’s mayor, The Guardian reported. Reporters have not been able to determine how much Emanuel knew about the facility, although he has defended it.
According to the Guardian, 65 percent of the people taken to Homan Square were taken there after Emanuel was elected mayor. The newspaper also reported that 82.2 percent of the people detained there were African-American, even though only 33 percent of Chicago’s population is black.
“Operating a massive, red-brick warehouse between two of the most crime-filled areas in the city of Chicago, equipped with floodlights, cameras, razor-wire – this near-paramilitary wing of the government that we’ve created, I would say that people who live close to it know what purpose it serves the most,” Gaeger said.

When you say “we’ve gone” it sounds like you’re saying they have been proven false. Please show me the evidence where these have been proven false? I don’t believe several of the ones you listed, but several others have yet to be proven false. There is sufficient evidence for chemtrails (unless you don’t count an actual meeting on them in the UN as evidence). There is also documented evidence to show that Homan square HAS been used for exactly what this article is saying, so your argument is beyond invalid, in the context of this article.
It really is quite sad. The life of a conspiracy theorist simply consists of living in constant fear. They all live out their full lives and spend their whole life preparing and being afraid of something that never happens. It’s no way to live, this theory based life is completely made up and is nothing but recycled rumors and theories. I am very glad I’ve never encounter one of you in person because i would without hesitation knock some sense into said person. The reason I haven’t come across one is because they all hide in fear. Wish more details were provided. It says “Documents released because of a Guardian lawsuit” show 7,185 people were “disappeared” into the facility. Who released the documents…? Police…? Who releases documents for the police…? It says the Guardian Newspaper is bringing the lawsuit. Since when does a newspaper bring a lawsuit against the police department…? What is the charge…? Has this been brought to the attention of the DOJ…? If these attorney’s had clients that they thought were brought to this facility, why haven’t they filed any lawsuits…? If people who live in the surrounding neighborhood know what the facility is used for, why weren’t any of them interviewed…? If 7,185 people have been brought to this facility over the course of 10 years and held without due process and not given their day in court, where are they now? Is there even one or two who have been identified who can tell their story…?
As I said, there’s too many details missing, to many witnesses missing, to many lawyers who have done nothing and not gotten involved, no explanation of who released the documents or what else the documents contain, and no explanation of why a newspaper is bringing a lawsuit or on who’s behalf the lawsuit is being brought.
The story is either very fishy, or this is a case of some very bad reporting here, and unfortunately there’s no way really to determine which it is. Although, this is NOT a new story, as I came across the story of this facility perhaps 2 years ago. I had the same reaction then as I do now, the story is fishy, and there wasn’t enough details provided, no witnesses, no neighbors interviewed, no lawyers involved, no one reporting it to the DOJ, and so on. The story was fishy then, and two years later, it’s fishy now.

If the government and powers to be police ECT have nothing to hide let the international Red Cross have an unrestricted visit to the place. Any refusal would be more than suspicious if nothing to hide and grounds for international enquiry.
Anybody working there past or present and others places unknown at present reading this should write to the Red Cross OUTSIDE of USA anonymously giving details of the layout of place and procurers used that could have only come from a real insider. If they get many letters this alone would be a reason to ask congress for inspection.
