Monte Long Takes First Place in Tac Heavy Division of Texas 3 Gun Championships

FORT WORTH, Texas -(Ammoland.com)- Monte Long took first place and a Texas-sized belt buckle in Tac Heavy at the world class 2017 Texas 3 Gun Championship by Freedom Munitions.

Monte has been a competitive shooter for 17 years, shooting IPSC, USPSA, and 3 Gun. His favorite match being 3 Gun.

“3 Gun gives me the greatest challenge for myself. It forces me to use three weapon platforms, at a wide range of distances, and allows for more challenging stage creation. Having to make a shot with a pistol at 100 yards is a fun challenge that proves who has the best skills vs equipment” said Monte.

Shooting isn’t just a sport to Monte. It is a lifestyle. When he is not shooting or working, he is volunteering as a range officer for local matches, training with local police departments, or reloading pistol and rifle ammo.
