Patriotic Boston Free Speech Champions Dispel SPLC Lies about Oath Keepers

USA – -(Ammoland.com)- “Robinson blood has been spilled in every war since WWII,” Nancy Oakley reported Saturday, describing some patriotic family members at Boston’s Free Speech Rally who were interviewed by Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes (see video below). Representatives from the group of current and retired service members, police and first responders offered a deterrent presence to threatened violence by ANTIFA agitators against citizens standing up for the First Amendment.

“They tell how they feel about ANTIFA burning the American flag while flying the communist flag, and discuss what it means to be willing to ‘lace up their boots’ to defend this nation against all enemies, foreign and domestic,” Oakley explained. “Sr. Robinson Served as an 11B in the 24th Infantry Division, and his son Charles Robinson III served as an 11B in the 1st Infantry Division (Big Red One) in Iraq.

“The father’s statement on how his family will ALWAYS answer the call, and how he raised his sons to be willing to die on their feet rather than live on their knees, and how they will NOT let ANTIFA destroy all their family fought for was the best speech of the day,” Oakley declared. “Powerful.”

“It was an honor, and one of the highlights of a great day, to meet this patriot military family that has a multi-generation tradition of service to this nation,” Rhodes agreed, relating the family’s service records. “All that was backdrop for his powerful statement that “those &@@$! communists will not take this (pointing to the ground) from us, or all they fought for will be for nothing.

“I asked father and sons to join Oath Keepers and they accepted the invite,” Rhodes concluded. “And then they joined us for beers and dinner afterwards.”

That’s certainly not the image of Oath Keepers being promulgated by the Southern Poverty Law Center, and then picked up- and parroted by establishment media. SPLC routinely smearss Oath Keepers in its “Hate Watch” feature. They’re also called “anti-government,” which a simple Google search will prove is the predominant meme being spread by SPLC, the Orwellian-named Anti-Defamation League, and “progressive” media in order to poison public perception.

How a group that exists to uphold its oath to the Constitution can be called that is yet further proof of the maxim that for “progressives,” every day is Opposite Day.

In fact, Oath Keepers bylaws list advocacy for both of those sentiments as membership disqualifiers:

(a) No person who advocates, or has been or is a member, or associated with, any organization, formal or informal, that advocates the overthrow of the government of the United States or the violation of the Constitution thereof, shall be entitled to be a member or associate member.

(b) No person who advocates, or has been or is a member, or associated with, any organization, formal or informal, that advocates discrimination, violence, or hatred toward any person based upon their race, nationality, creed, or color, shall be entitled to be a member or associate member.

The reason tyrannophiles abhor and fear Oath Keepers is because it properly takes the positions that members will not obey unlawful orders, such as orders to disarm the American people (that some police and National Guardsmen obeyed in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina).  That stand doesn’t come from “extremism,’ it comes from understanding the Uniform Code of Military Justice (and because of the personal risks involved, it’s an act of individual honor and bravery). It comes from the lessons of history as exemplified in the Nuremberg Trials, where “I was just following orders” was not an acceptable legal defense. It’s not extreme, it’s rooted in tradition and the supreme Law of the Land. It’s rooted in what’s right.

The good news is, more and more are catching on to SPLC and its subversive M.O.

“Dale Wilcox, Executive Director and General Counsel for the Immigration Reform Law Institute, noted that his organization released a 2016 disciplinary opinion recently from the Obama-era U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) officially reprimanding an attorney from the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) ‘for unprofessional and frivolous behavior in immigration court proceedings,’” Truth Revolt reported Monday.” It was called “misconduct” by the Justice Department’s Disciplinary Counsel, which “luckily” (Loretta Lynch was at the helm), was not escalated to a “formal disciplinary proceeding.”

“Wilcox points out that this letter is part of a growing chorus of criticism of the SPLC’s ‘increasingly incoherent “hate-group” standard’ from outlets ranging from Harpers, Counterpunch, Weekly Standard, and Huffington Post to Reason, Washington Times, and Foreign Policy. ‘Like the proverbial shark that has to keep swimming,’ writes Wilcox, ‘the SPLC must keep fear-mongering and expanding its ‘hate-group’ narrative lest its donors begin to stray. As JoAnn Wypijewski at The Nation once wrote, the SPLC knows “hate sells” and, hence, must continue telling donors that the Klan’s just around the corner.’”

The welcoming inclusion and admiration expressed by Oath Keepers for Robinson family members exposes SPLC’s “hate” rhetoric for what it is.  They use it to chill patriotic expression, the very thing the Boston Free Speech Rally proudly and defiantly celebrated. What those who would suppress freedom can’t abide is those who do not fear their hateful name-calling. Those would be Americans who believe that brotherhood is ideological and has nothing to do with superficial physical appearance, and everything to do with championing a Bill of Rights culture against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
