Rob Leatham

ONTARIO, California-(Ammoland.com)- Safariland, a brand of The Safariland Group, applauds Team Safariland member Rob Leatham for three wins in the last month in respected shooting competitions: “Top Senior Single Stack National Title” at the USPSA Single Stack National Championship at Pike-Adams Sportsmen’s Alliance (PASA) Park in Barry, Ill.; “Top Senior Revolver National Title” at the USPSA Revolver National Championship at PASA Park in Barry, Ill.; and the “Production National Champion,” with a winning score of 1908, 21 points ahead of the next Production Division contender, at the 2017 NRA Bianchi Cup at the Green Valley Rifle & Pistol Club in Hallsville, Mo.

Rob Leatham Wins at 2017 Bianchi Cup

Leatham was presented with the “Classic Nationals” aggregate award for earning the most cumulative match points from the revolver and single stack events at the USPSA back-to-back championships. Leatham has won this award every year since it originated in 2013 as the “Leatham/Miculek Aggregate Award.” Additionally, he has competed at the USPSA Single Stack Nationals since its inception, winning 17 times. This is his 11th NRA Bianchi Cup National Championship trophy, with his last Production win in 2014.

“To battle in top-tier events almost four decades after I began my career drives home the point that this kind of shooting is accessible to anyone,” said Leatham. “The fact that I am even still in the hunt is a testament to the equipment choices I’ve made. Today, guns are more reliable, holster rigs are faster, ammo is better, and having the finest gear, including the support of companies dedicated to shooting sports is immeasurable.”

“Rob is a consistent competitor and has been an invaluable member of Team Safariland for more than 30 years,” said Scott Carnahan, vice president of the equipment category at Safariland. “It does not look like he plans to slow down anytime soon. He is an excellent example of what it takes to be a champion.”

During the competitions, Leatham used the Safariland ELS System with Model 5188 Holster, USPSA Kit and 771 magazine pouches. Next up for Leatham is the Safariland Expedition in Boulder City, Nevada, June 22-25, 2017 at the Pro Gun Club.
