‘Self-Restraint’ Is the Only Thing Between a Nuclear War With North Korea

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

It’s finally happened, Kim Jong-Un has had a successful ICBM (Intercontinental ballistic missile) test. Now that he’s actually improved his battle might, and has the capability to strike Alaska, he’s taunting the US president with nuclear war.

A top military official has warned “self-restraint” is the only thing stopping the US from going to war with North Korea. Soon after his successful missile test on the 4th of July, a defiant Kim Jong-Un seemingly taunted “American bas**rds” in the wake of said successful intercontinental ballistic missile test. Pyongyang claims its newly developed rocket can carry “large-sized and heavy nuclear warheads.”

The North Korean leader made the haughty statement, in which he said “the American bas**rds would not be very happy with this gift sent on the July 4 anniversary,” not long after the ICBM was launched Tuesday, the Korean Central News Agency reported.

The successful ICBM, which state media said had reached an altitude of 2,802 kilometers (1,741 miles), was its highest ever missile test, and most successful. State media in Pyongyang said North Korea now had the power to now strike the American mainland with a nuclear warhead.  Experts agree, and say that if the missile had been fired on a normal trajectory instead of at a high altitude, it would have reached about 6,000 kilometers, which is enough to put Alaska within range.

In a joint press statement issued by Russia and China, the two countries reiterated their call for North Korea to stop its missile and nuclear tests in exchange for the US and South Korea holding off on future large joint military drills.
However, within hours of the statement, the US and South Korea announced they indeed, had held a new ballistic missile drill to counter “North Korea’s destabilizing and unlawful actions.” “(The drills) showcased precision targeting of the enemy’s leadership in case of an emergency,” a South Korean Defense Ministry statement said.

Speaking out against Pyongyang on Wednesday, the top American general in South Korea issued an ominous warning of his own to Kim and his ilk north of the border.Self-restraint, which is a choice, is all that separates armistice and war,” General Vincent Brooks said in a joint statement.  But this missile test is leaving the United States with few options, and the nation is split on how they intend to deal with the rogue nation’s new capabilities.

With a seemingly unavoidable war with North Korea on the horizon, joint drills only inch up tensions between the nations choosing to involve themselves.   Analysts told CNN there are very few good options for President Trump to deal with the North Korean threat. “A really difficult question will be whether Donald Trump feels like he’s (been) backed into a corner and doesn’t have options short of war,” Adam Mount, senior fellow at the Center for American Progress, told CNN.

Self-restraint you say? Say what? I’d say you’d better be asking when all this dangerous and idiotic, military-industrial complex stuff is going to stop. Since when has the policy of MAD (“mutually assured destruction”) failed, with bigger enemies? Bigger boogeymen, with many ICBMs, with a policy of empire and expansion, worse expressed goals, than Boy Wo Phat of North Korea? On what assumption is North Korea exceptional, that they will to commit suicide?

If you’re a small nation, being bullied by a large nation, a large nation that is a megalomaniacal bull in a china shop like the U.S., that is, with a history of bloody interventions against weak nations it has no business meddling in, gunboat diplomacy in everybody else’s back yard, economic blackmail and destruction, playing the world’s rogue cops, why on earth would you not want atomic weapons? As repugnant as the governmental structure of some nations is, such as North Korea or Iran, one can understand why they want the ultimate weapon, to have something they can threaten back and defend against the bully with. I think it’s such nonsense, how the big nations of the world go around telling the small nations they can’t have nukes, while they constantly are growing and upgrading their arsenals, even making the nuclear threat portable, to park off their shores. I could see North Korea or Iran being run by saints, but feeling the need for nukes, to have something to use against the big, dangerous ogres of the world that can’t mind their own business, that would change out a government for their own brutal dictatorship, simply for the likes they have oil in the ground.

If there are malicious people wandering the streets that slaughter whole neighborhoods, with automatic weapons, are you going to feel safe with pepper spray? Bottom line, this empire mentality and the business of war the U.S. engages in creates most of the problems, as surely as offenders create defenders. The U.S. is best at creating ever more enemies. Think about it for two seconds people, the U.S. is directly threatening bloody mayhem against North Korea: you know that’s what it is, behind the political speak. And you wouldn’t want a pussy in the White House, would you, so what makes you think North Korea should simply lie down? Because you’re going to kill everything that breathes, otherwise? Think about this for three seconds: in Iraq, where perhaps most people have lost somebody in their family or their whole family, due to U.S. actions, do you really believe they’re in love with the U.S., or have we created a hundred new enemies, for every loved member of somebody’s family and neighborhood we killed? What do you think the Islamic terrorists are rallying against, and, in a sense, do have that part of it right, but that the U.S. has slaughtered tens of thousands and reduced their cities to heaps of rubble? Is it a better or worse world since getting rid of Saddam, have less people died, is the Middle East more stable? And the dude didn’t even have WMD, again, was not about to use them if he did and commit national suicide. The whole war was an evil, lying, neocon pretext, a boost to the stock holdings of the Carlyle Group, anybody who knows anything knows.

Not everybody is going to fold for the bully, in the real world, and the bully even usually gets a really bloody nose one day, and just about the time he’s so sure he’s the cock of the walk. It may also be the patience of Almighty God or self-restraint of Russia that the U.S. hasn’t met some Satan 2 missiles, for this pattern of growing aggression and world destruction.

Lastly, you know something? God ordained sovereign nations, broke-up Nimrod’s one world party. You may not like what goes on within somebody else’s borders, but it’s really none of your damned business to say they can’t have their own government structure, their own treaties and allies, their own potent weapons, since you’re a bigass, belligerent gun freak, as it were, even if the desert hell hole wants Sharia, or some place in Asia is a dictatorship. Your law and political opinions stop at your borders, beyond this any international law a treaty of some sort, and these treaties do not include your right to bring war on people with a different opinion or national structure. You had better hope Trump doesn’t think he’s God, like the roll call before him. The tipping point will be when the strong say the bully has become too repugnant to bear. This idiocy of “now let’s contemplate nuclear war” with North Korea? A movie quote, “Stupid is as stupid does.”

      Revelation 18

1 After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory.
2 And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!
3 For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury.”
4 And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.
5 For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.
6 Render to her just as she rendered to you, and repay her double according to her works; in the cup which she has mixed, mix double for her.
7 In the measure that she glorified herself and lived luxuriously, in the same measure give her torment and sorrow; for she says in her heart, ‘I sit as queen, and am no widow, and will not see sorrow.’
8 Therefore her plagues will come in one day — death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judges her.
9 “The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning,
10 standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.’
11 “And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore.”
