Learn Outdoor Skills: AZ. Becoming An Outdoors Woman Workshop April 13-15 2018

PRESCOTT, Ariz. – -(Ammoland.com)- The Becoming an Outdoors Woman (BOW) workshop on April 13-15 at a rustic camp near Prescott is still accepting registrations.

Workshops range from canoeing and kayaking to birdwatching, archery, beginning fishing and even photography — all of which are coached by acclaimed pros.

There are more than 30 classes for participants to choose from including horsemanship, geocaching, wilderness medicine, birding and hiking.

“We have a desert survival class; Dutch oven cooking classes that prepare an evening meal — we try to find something to interest everyone,” said Arizona BOW coordinator Linda Dightmon.

One great thing about this camp is that a woman can try a new sport without buying all of the equipment. The only thing the participant needs to bring is her personal stuff, a good attitude and a willingness to learn.

Class materials, food and lodging are included in the $250 registration fee. Participants stay in rustic cabins, but there are showers and bathrooms in each cabin.

The Arizona Wildlife Federation sponsors the program with help from the Arizona Game and Fish Department and volunteer instructors.
