A MASKED vigilante in South London has been dubbed the ‘Guardian’ after he rescued a woman from a gang of marauding thieves days after another hooded hero fought off muggers. Two women in Bexleyheath have claimed a masked hero has saved them from terrifying thugs.

Saffy Danes, 29, said she was walking by an ASDA supermarket with friends last month when four men knocked her to the ground and tried to snatch her purse.

The cashier claims the mysterious vigilante jumped into the attacker’s kung-fu kicking them before the terrified gang could escape. Now, mainstream media is appealing for information that will identify the rescuer.

Veteran journalist and author Michael Walsh says identifying the rescuer would be much more terrifying than the attempted assault on the woman shopper.

‘If the hooded crusader’s identity is revealed to media, the cops would be turning over his home minutes later, and the rescuer would be arrested.’

The author of vigilante thrillers, A Leopard in Liverpool and The Stigma Enigma says, ‘if anyone were foolish enough to reveal the identity of brave vigilantes, mainstream would use their malign influence to publicly pillory them. The first rule of vigilantism is never telling anyone, not even your family.’

The rescued woman explained: ‘Next thing we knew, a tall man wearing black and a hood with what looked like a mask came in and literally Bruce Lee fly-kicked the man of my friends and then went about kung-fu kicking non-stop.

‘We stood to the side and watched as he beat the hell out of our attackers.’

Saffy said the thugs were left licking their wounds and limping away. She added that the unidentified hero told her the route she took was notorious for idiots and drugged up thieves looking to rob people.

She added: ‘I asked him jokingly are you like Batman or something/ He replied that he is known simply as Guardian, because it describes what he tries to do for people perfectly.’

Another woman in Bexleyheath has also claimed she was saved from a terrifying alleyway mugging by a masked man. In 2017, there were reports of a similar figure also named the Guardian taking the law into their own hands in Bromley.

The masked hero saved a couple from a pair of thugs demanding they hand over their valuables. The couple claimed at the time they were rescued from their ordeal by a man ‘dressed in black from head to toe’ who told the men to leave.
