Ferries chief tells all, is fired

In two months of running the state Department of Transportation’s ferries, Harold “Buddy” Finch says he ran into nepotism, payroll padding and questionable spending. He brought it to the attention of the department’s top officials and its inspector general. They launched an investigation – and fired Finch for not being a team builder…

R L Clark responds:

In my opinion, corruption–since it became so bad in 1983 that I could no longer be a part of the Administration of then Governor James B Hunt, Jr. that I left–has only worsened with each passing year.

In my opinion, Mr. Finch’s description is so accurate [but] it only scratches the surface across State Government Operations. He has to be an HONORABLE man who will now be discredited by the “powers” that be even to the Judicial System.

He describes perfectly the JIM HUNT COUNTY KEY SYSTEM which has been fine tuned and refined with the majority of administrations since his. I might add this is all done in collusion with the Legislature!

I have been criticized by some individuals because ‘I won’t tell all.’ I’m dumb in some areas but not stupid! My advice is to follow this story until Mr. Finch is discredited and destroyed financially!!

The only way to destroy the CULTURE OF CORRUPTION in N C Government is for the Taxpaying Voters to take back their Government at the Polls this November by sending home at least 75% of the incumbents on the ballot!

The comments I have made above are my opinion based on my previous years of experiences both in the Executive and Legislative Branches of State Government and my more than a quarter century of experience of operating small businesses in the private sector economy and having to deal with local, state, and federal government agencies almost on a daily basis which are involved in almost every aspect of our personal and business lives!”
