Real Change

Real change – not “Change You Can Believe In” – has hit Washington like a ton of Tea Bags.

For the first time in my memory, politicians are actually doing (mostly) what the electorate sent them to do (with the obvious exception of the party that now must share power).

The defeat of the Omnibus spending bill ends the 111th Congress’ fiscal malfeasance and dereliction of budgetary duty.

And, even though Republicans are getting hammered for putting in earmarks last spring before they knew how things were going to change, I have to congratulate Republicans for voting with the electorate last night.

Democrats can cry hypocrisy all they want — they’re experts at it themselves. But last night was a major step toward repealing Obamacare, getting our debt under control, and putting a stop to the oppressive, top-down, Socialist agenda we’ve had crammed down our throats for the last two years.

For those of you who made phone calls, sent emails, showed up at your rep’s office, wrote a letter to your paper, or otherwise made your voice heard, thank you and keep up the pressure!.

We know what “Change you Can Believe In” looks like and we need to make sure the left never infringes on our liberty that way again.
