Consequences of a Corrupt Representative in Congress

Heath Shuler won the 11th District House of Representatives seat in Western North Carolina. This election was bought as much as the next election in this district will be bought. Looking below at the 2010 election contributions, Mr. Shuler already has $1,220,901 in place for the 2012 election cycle. Fifty-eight percent of his contributions come from PACs. Since he already has more money on hand than he spent in the 2010 election cycle, he can literally do no additional fundraising for 2012.

What is the first action in Congress that Mr. Shuler is attempting to do (after a senseless run for the Speaker of the House)? In football terms, he is protecting the quarterback.  North Carolina is the most gerrymandered state in the union for congressional districts. If you look at the map below, two things are obvious:

1. The Democrat party has no shame.

2. Mr. Shuler’s 11th district is one of the least gerrymandered.

 Mr. Shuler is introducing legislative that is not only unconstitutional: it is a direct assault on the voting rights of the people. This attempt to eliminate redistricting in the new state general assembly at the federal level is indicative on how corrupt Washington has become. It is a prime example why the people of North Carolina must stand up and defend our state’s rights against federal tyranny. So the question becomes one of purpose: what is the motive for Mr. Shuler to maintain a gerrymandered voting system that will not impact his next election?

 Mike McIntyre (D-NC 7) is co-sponsoring this legislation along with 17 other traitors. I do not use this term lightly but let’s look at the definition of a traitor:

One who betrays one’s country, a cause, or a trust, especially one who commits treason.

These representatives have betrayed the trust of their constituents by trying to maintain a system of voter fraud to win elections.

The North Carolina General Assembly can address this issue by enacting a recall amendment to our state’s constitution through Article XIII.

Our new US House of Representatives can also take action under the Constitution:

Article I, Section 5, Clause 2: Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member.

I think Mr. Shuler’s actions have earned him a place in history as the seventh member of the US House to be expelled by his peers.
