Can we have the Truth Prime Minister?

What sort of bold faced  lies, obfuscation, misdirection, half truths, misrepresentations, double speak, smarmy platitudes and Blatant Propaganda will the Gillard Government eagerly foist onto the Australian Public…almost always  at the taxpayers expense??? Do they really assume this tidal wave of disinformation will be swallowed without opposition?  Is this their opinion of the Australian people?

We have had the Infamous lie of not introducing a Carbon Tax, we have had the wild lies about the virtue and costing of the NBN, we have heard the atrocious allegations the science is settled therefore they won’t debate Global Warming any more, and we have recently heard her back flip on the Pacific Solution for Asylum Seekers being dead, and now her attack on those honest journalists that dare ask her about her involvement with her boyfriend’s company which he used to rip off $millions in Union money while she was a partner with Slater and Gordon and the coincidence of her resignation when being investigated internally by Slater and Gordon, effectively halting their continuation with the investigation as the loss of goodwill in the Firm in my opinion would not have been worth it.

I went  through the enormous number of websites this Government has created to help support their theory on Climate Change, and although I discovered so many  claims that had no basis, this site was a classic :

It claims “Australia is a predominantly a coastal society. About 85 per cent of the population lives in the coastal region and it is of immense economic, social and environmental importance to the nation.  The Australian coast is a dynamic place and in the last 50,000 years humans have witnessed major changes in sea level, habitats and the shape of the shoreline from great storm events. “

The obvious flaw in this statement is the claim humans have witnessed major changes in sea level in the last 50,000.  This is indicative of all this Department’s evidence of Climate Change, never let the truth get in the way of a good story!!!

And of course it didn’t stop here.

It might sound fair enough and if it wasn’t for the fact that settlements were normally created in areas where the supply ships (the only mode of overseas travel at that time)  were able to deliver their wares and passengers.!!!

They then go on to claim

“Over the last 6000 to 7000 years Australia’s coasts have been relatively stable. Since 1788 settlements have been built along the coast in expectation that sea level would remain broadly unchanged. “

And yet again with no data showing when these supposed changes started, no evidence why this started, no evidence sea levels are actually rising, but they still manage to claim Global warming (and remember Global warming was mainly disproven, and so people started to use the term Climate Change, but not this Dept.) will increase risks to settlements??    (settlement = a place newly settled; colony ‘…..a collection of dwellings forming a community, esp on a frontier,  or……..a community formed by members of a group, esp of a religious sect)

Maybe it is one of the OLD Climate Change staff that wrote this piece for no one in Australia calls our cities, settlements and even indigenous Communities are no longer referred to as settlements?

I have searched for the evidence we are about to drown, but apart from some highly fanciful writing and some imaginative modelling, their is no empirical evidence of this occurring either ??

And on they plough stating:

“some of Australia’s coasts are now changing.  A new climate era driven by global warming will increase risks to settlements, industries, the delivery of services and natural ecosystems within Australia’s coastal zone. It is important that these risks are understood. The risks of sea level rise are not confined to the coast itself. Flooding may impact on areas some distance inland, for example along estuaries, rivers, lakes or lagoons.”  And yet Australia’s own Climate Change Commissioner bought a waterfront property recently, which showed his deep concern on this subject.

The Climate Commission claims we have warmed .8 Celsius since 1906, however the chart below shows our temperatures are currently in a decline.

”As both the National Academy of Sciences and the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change have stated, the proxy techniques discussed here are sufficient to show with high confidence that there has been warming in the last century that is anomalous relative to what would have been expected based upon the natural variations of the geologically recent past—and human greenhouse-gas emissions are at least partly to blame. That said, the uncertainties of these techniques make them grossly insufficient to provide the basis for some of the more extreme claims that have been made. We have reason to be sceptical of both those who design elaborate hypotheses to explain away global warming and those who would have us panic.”

Prof Bob Carter is a geologist at James Cook University, Queensland, engaged in paleoclimate research, therefore not as qualified of course as the Governments Commissioner on Climate Change, zoologist Tim Flannery, (who has been hiding out since he became an embarrassment to the Government through his ramblings)

Prof Carter said

“Consider the simple fact, drawn from the official temperature records of the Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia, that for the years 1998-2005 global average temperature did not increase (there was actually a slight decrease, though not at a rate that differs significantly from zero).

Yes, you did read that right. And also, yes, this eight-year period of temperature stasis did coincide with society’s continued power station and SUV-inspired pumping of yet more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.”

It would seem reading all of this again The Dept. has made a claim that is not just illogical, it appears to be totally incorrect.

It also appears this Government is pushing their CO2 Tax through without a mandate and with clear signs people do not want this to be passed, it shows an arrogance and a total disconnection of this Government with the people of Australia.

The Government have even the audacity to use Al gore’s Inconvenient Truth as a part of the Australian school curriculum and have prepared teaching packages to sell man made Climate change, where they of course have NO evidence to support their claims, they just intend to brainwash  everyone to believe their vitriol and are going to brainwash the children at school, where does this leave our future.

The Lies must end, the attacks on anyone asking this regime a tough question must end and the Totalitarianism we are subjected to must end.  I see Gillard has begun a taxpayer funded election campaign lately only to wreck these attempts by accusations towards a 3AW  journalist.  It would seem the Spin Doctors are wanting this PM to go for a long long campaign and stay clean so she may have a chance at the next election.  I say they haven’t a hope with this person, she is a ticking time bomb.
