A giant fat tub of goo sits in a dark theater most of his life, writing make believe about make believe, and he’s calling other people sad and pathetic?
What’s truly sad, for Ebert, is that they don’t sell pre-chewed popcorn at the concession stands. Remember when he was picking out a computer voice that would capture the essence of his former speech? I hope the designer provided angry bitter whining, because that pretty much sums up the Ebert 2.0 essence.

Film critic Roger Ebert gave actor Clint Eastwood’s speech at the Republican National Convention on Thursday two thumbs down.
“Clint, my hero, is coming across as sad and pathetic,” Ebert tweeted during Eastwood’s remarks. “He didn’t need to do this to himself. It’s unworthy of him.”
