The Case for Elizabeth Colbert Busch

 It does not surprise me that my sister, Elizabeth, has thrown her hat into the political ring. I’m only surprised that it has taken this long.  No finer a representative could the first congressional district of South Carolina choose. Issues aside, let me explain why she should receive your serious consideration.

Elizabeth has all the qualities necessary for leadership. She has had to endure hardships that we pray never try us. Enduring the loss of father and brothers, caring for 3 small children with little resource, transforming herself from dependency to self-determination and seeking an education so that she might provide a better future for her children and herself, Elizabeth has been able to look reality in the face and make the difficult but right choices to provide a better life for herself and her family. Yes, I mean “right” not correct or expedient. There is a big difference.

She is tenacious, loyal and has a firm moral core from which she weighs her decisions. She has struggled mightily to achieve the most basic and noble goals of life. She has earned her place in the sun.  So, before we all dive into the minutia of a campaign, remember Elizabeth Colbert Busch. She will honor your trust and promote the interests of the low country and the nation. She will have no difficulty standing up for herself. Trust me; I know what I’m talking about. I recommend her to you for your consideration.  She could win this and everyone loves a winner. I love my sister.
